ORDINANCE NO. 1360
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA,
FIXING THE RATES OF TAXES AND LEVYING
TAXES FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING
JULY 1, 1967
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, DOES
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That for the purpose of raising the sums of money
necessary to be raised by taxation upon the taxable property of the City
of Arcadia as a revenue to carryon the various departments of said City
for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1967, the rate of taxes for the
different portions of the City of Arcadia are hereby fixed, and taxes
are hereby levied on all taxable property in the different portions of
said City for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1967, in the number of
cents upon each one hundred dollars ($100.00) of the assessed value of
said property as assessed by the County Assessor and equalized by the
Board of Supervisors of the County of Los Angeles, for the several
funds and purposes set forth in the following table, the taxes levied
upon property in each portion of said City hereinafter described and
designated by a district number being at the rates set opposite the
designations of the respective funds in the column headed by the district
number which is prefixed to the description of such portion of said City
as hereinafter stated.
SECTION 2. District No.1 shall include and comprise all that
portion of the City of Arcadia included within the boundaries thereof as
originally incorporated and all that territory annexed to the City of
Arcadia excepting those portions thereof hereinafter included with
District No. 2 and No.3.

District No. 2 shall include and comprise all that territory
annexed to the City of Arcadia by the following annexations thereto:
Uninhabited Territory Annexation of 1945, pursuant to Ordinance No. 559,
adopted September 18, 1945j West Arcadia Annexation, pursuant to Or-
dinance No. 641, adopted April 15, 1947j West Arcadia Annexation No.2,
pursuant to Ordinance No. 651, adopted June 3, 1947j and West Arcadia
Annexation No.4, pursuant to Ordinance No. 759, adopted March 15, 1949.
District No. 3 shall include and comprise all that territory
annexed to the City of Arcadia by the following annexations thereto:
West Arcadia Annexations No.5 and No.6, pursuant to Ordinance No.
804, adopted April 4, 1950j Foothill Boulevard Annexation No.1, pur-
suant to Ordinance No. 891, adopted May 18, 1954; Southeast Arcadia
Uninhabited Annexation No. 15, pursuant to Ordinance No. 972, adopted
November 20, 1956j Northeast Arcadia Annexation No. 16, Uninhabited,
pursuant to Ordinance No. 1011, adopted April 1, 1958; Annexation No.
17-A, Southwest Arcadia Inhabited, pursuant to Ordinance No. 1053,
adopted April 7, 1959; Annexation No. 19, South Arcadia Uninhabited
(Revised), pursuant to Ordinance No. 1068, adopted November 3, 1959;
Annexation No. 20, Southeast Arcadia (Uninhabited), pursuant to Or-
dinance No. 1111, adopted December 6, 1960; Annexation No. 22, South
Arcadia (Uninhabited) pursuant to Ordinance No. 1117, adopted February
7, 1961; Annexation No. 25, East Arcadia Uninhabited, pursuant to Ordi-
nance No. 1138, adopted October 3, 1961; Annexation No. 26, West Arcadia
Uninhabited, pursuant to Ordinance No. 1151, adopted November 7, 1961;
Annexation No. 28, Southeast Arcadia Uninhabited, pursuant to Ordinance
No. 1154, adopted January 16, 1962; Annexation No. 30, Southeast Arcadia
(Uninhabited), pursuant to Ordinance No. 1194, adopted January 15, 1963;
and Annexation No. 31, Southeast Arcadia (Uninhabited), pursuant to Or-
dinance No. 1230 adopted December 17, 1963; Annexation No. 33, west
Arcadia Uninhabited, pursuant to Ordinance No. 1271, adopted November 17,
1964; Annexation No. 34, Northwest Arcadia Uninhabited, pursuant to

Ordinance No. 1281, adopted March 16, 1965; Annexation No. 35, West

Arcadia Uninhabited, pursuant to Ordinance No. 1285, adopted May 4,
1965; Annexation No. 36, Southeast Arcadia Uninhabited, pursuant to
Ordinance No. 1295, adopted July 6, 1965; Annexation No. 37, West
Arcadia Uninhabited, pursuant to Ordinance No. 1296, adopted July 6,
1965; and Annexation No. 38, West Arcadia (Uninhabited), pursuant to
Ordinance No. 1304, adopted September 21, 1965 and Annexation No. 39,
Southeast Arcadia (Uninhabited) pursuant to Resolution No. 3915 adopted
November 15, 1966. Also all that territory included within the bound-
aries of the City of Arcadia by the relocation of the City Boundaries
pursuant to Section 50190 et seq. of the California Government Code,
pursuant to Resolution No. 3646 of the Arcadia City Council adopted
February 4, 1964 and Resolution of the Board of Supervisors of the
County of Los Angeles dated February 25, 1964, which territory was
solely for reference purposes designated as Annexation No. 32 Southeast
Arcadia (Uninhabited).
SECTION 3. For the purpose of raising the sums of money
necessary to be raised by taxation upon the real property within the
respective districts hereinafter described to pay for the items of main-
tenance and operation furnished the street lighting systems therein, the
rates of taxes for the respective portions and districts of the City of
Arcadia are hereby fixed and taxes are hereby levied on all real prop-
erty in the respective districts in portions of said City for the fiscal
year beginning July 1, 1967, in the number of cents upon each one hundred
dollars ($100.00) of assessed value of said real property as assessed by
the County Assessor and equalized by the Board of Supervisors of the
County of Los Angeles. The respective lighting maintenance districts
are described as follows:
Arcadia Lighting Maintenance District No. 26, which includes and
shall include and comprise all that portion of the City of Arcadia included
within Lighting Maintenance District No. 26, as ordered formed by Resolution
No. 3843 of the City Council of the City of Arcadia adopted December 7, 1965

and described in the map on file in the office of the City Clerk and
heretofore approved by the City Council of the City of Arcadia. ~y,..

Arcadia Lighting Maintenance District No. 26 toget~er with a leg~l
description of the real property included within said Arcadia Lighting
Maintenance
/District No. 26 having heretofore been filed with the County Assessor
and with the State Board of Equalization of the State of California.
Arcadia Lighting Maintenance District No. 27, which includes
and shall include and comprise all that portion of the City of Arcadia
included within Lighting Maintenance District No. 27, as ordered formed
by Resolution No. 3907 of the City Council of the City of Arcadia adop-
ted November 1, 1966 and described in the map on file in the office of
the City Clerk and heretofore approved by the City Council of the City
of Arcadia by Resolution No. 3900 adopted September 20, 1966, a copy of
said map of Arcadia Lighting Maintenance District No. 27 together with
a legal description of the real property included within said Arcadia
Lighting Maintenance District No. 27 having heretofore been filed with
the County Assessor and with the State Board of Equalization of the
state of California.
Arcadia Lighting Maintenance District No. 28, which includes
and shall include and comprise all that portion of the City of Arcadia
included within Lighting Maintenance District No. 28, as ordered formed
by Resolution No. 3908 of the City Council of the City of Arcadia adop-
ted November 1, 1966 and described in the map on file in the office of
the City Clerk and heretofore approved by the City Council of the City
of Arcadia by Resolution No. 3902 adopted September 20, 1966, a copy of
said map of Arcadia Lighting Maintenance District No. 28 together with
a legal description of the real property included within said Arcadia
Lighting Maintenance District No. 28 having heretofore been filed with
the County Assessor,and with the State Board of Equalization of the
State of California.

Arcadia Lightin~ Maintenance D~strict No. 29, which includes

included within Lighting Maintenance District No. 29, as ordered formed

by Resolution No. 3909 of the City Council of the City of Arcadia adop-
ted November 1, 1966 and described in the map on file in the office of
the City Clerk and heretofore approved by the City Council of the City
of Arcadia by Resolution No. 3904 adopted September 20, 1966, a copy of
said map of Arcadia Lighting Maintenance District No. 29 together with
a legal description of the real property included within said Arcadia
Lighting Maintenance District No. 29 having heretofore been filed with
the County Assessor and with the State Board of Equalization of the
State of California.
SECTION 4. For the purpose of raising the sums of money
necessary to be raised by taxation against all of the taxable land and
improvements within the .'cspective districts hereinafter described to
pay for the expense of maintenance, operation, repair and improvement
of parking places therein, the rates of taxes' for the respective vehicle
parking districts of the City of Arcadia are hereby fixed and taxes are
hereby levied on all real property in the respective districts for the
fiscal year beginning July 1, 1967, in the number of cents upon each one
hundred dollars ($100.00) of assessed value of said real property as
assessed by the County Assessor and equalized by the Board of Supervisors
of the County of Los Angeles. The respective vehicle parking districts
are described as follows:
Arcadia Vehicle Parking District No. 1 which includes and shall
include and comprise all that portion of the City of Arcadia included
within Arcadia Vehicle Parking District No. 1 as ordered formed by Ordi-
nance No. 963 of the City Council of the City of Arcadia adopted August
29, 1956 and described in the map on file in the office of the City Clerk
and heretofore approved by the City Council of the City of Arcadia, a copy
of said map of Arcadia Vehicle Parking District No. 1 together with a copy
of said Ordinance No. 963 ordering the formation thereof and describing the

boundaries thereof and the properties included therein having been filed
with the County Assessor and the State Board of Equalization of the State
of California prior to January 1, 1959.
Arcadia Vehicle Parking District No.2 which includes and shall
include and comprise all that portion of the City of Arcadia included
within Arcadia Vehicle Parking District No.2 as ordered formed by Ordi-
nance No. 976 of the City Council of the City of Arcadia, adopted
December 18, 1956 and described in the map on file in the office of the
City Clerk and heretofore approved by the City Council of the City of
Arcadia, a copy of said map of Arcadia Vehicle Parking District No.2
together with a copy of said Ordinance No. 976 ordering the formation
thereof and describing the boundaries thereof and the properties included
therein having been filed with the County Assessor and the state Board of
Equalization of the State of California prior to January 1, 1959.
SECTION 5. That the following table, referred to in Section
1 hereinbefore, specifies the rates of taxes for the different portions
of the City for the several funds and purposes herein set forth:

SECTION 6. That the following table referred to in Section 3
hereinbefore, specifies the rates of taxes for the different portions of

SECTION 7. That the following table referred to in Section 4
hereinbefore specifies the rates of taxes for the different portions of
the City of Arcadia within the vehicle parking districts hereinbefore

SECTION 8. This Ordinance shall be effective upon its adoption.
The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Ordinance and prior
to the expiration of fifteen (15) days from the passage thereof shall
cause the same to be published once in the Arcadia Tribune and shall
forthwith forward a certified copy hereof to the Tax Division, Auditor-
Controller, 500 West Temple Street, Los Angeles 12, California.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was adopted at a
regular meet~ng, of the City Council of, the City of Arcadia, held. on the
15th day of August, 1967, by the affirmative vote of at least three
Councilmen, to wit:
