A G E N D A ARCADIA CITY MODIFICATION COMMITTEE 7:45 A.M., TUESDAY, APRIL 26, 2005 COUNCIL CHAMBERS CONFERENCE ROOM ROLL CALL: Olson, Kelly, Penman Request for the following modifications
to legalize a fence located in the front yard: 1. PUBLIC HEARING MC 05-22 11 E. Orange Grove Ave. Guy Jamison A. B. To legalize an existing front yard fence height of 4’-0” in lieu of
3’-0” required. To permit the encroachment into the protected zone of six (2) oak trees for an addition on the subject property. Approved Request for the following modifications for
a proposed wrought iron fence located in the front yard: 2. PUBLIC HEARING MC 05-23 51 W. Foothill Blvd. Toan Giang A. B. A 5’-6” to 6’-0” high wrought-iron fence in the front yard area
in lieu of 4’-0” required (Sec. 9251.2.13.1); and, A 7’-0” separation between several columns in lieu of 7’-6” required (Sec. 9252.2.13.5). Conditionally Denied Request A (3-0), subject
to the condition that the driveway entry gate does not exceed 5’-6” in height and 5’-0” in height on the attached driveway entry columns. Approved Request B (3-0). 3. PUBLIC HEARING
TR 05-01 445 Catalpa Rd. Dr. John Araujo and Cindy Kelly Request for an Oak Tree Encroachment Permit for an addition to an existing single-family residence that encroaches into the drip
line of an oak tree. Approved with the condition that the arborist’s recommendations are followed as outlined in the arborist report, with the exception that fencing may be reduced to
a 4’-10” radius, and that the excavation shall be done under the supervision of a certified arborist. 4. PUBLIC HEARING TR 05-02 830 W. Orange Grove Robert Wieland Request to permit
the removal of both healthy and diseased oak trees to accommodate a new 8,530 square foot, two-story residence; and permit the new residence, driveway, swimming pool, and block wall
to encroach within the drip line of 7 oak trees. Approved subject to the condition that a 48-inch box Coast Live Oak tree shall be planted on the opposite side of Oak Tree #2 in between

a five working day appeal period. Appeals are to be filed by May 3, 2005.
