ORDINANCE NO. 1307
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, .
AMENDING SECTIONS g233.20 AND 9233.21
OF THE ARCADIA MUNICIPAL CODE BY
RECLASSIFYING PORTIONS OF THE PROPERTY
WITHIN THE CITY OF ARCADIA BOUNDED ON
THE WEST BY EL MONTE AVENUE, ON THE
SOUTH BY THE SOUTHERLY BOUNDARY OF THE
CITY OF ARCADIA, ON THE EAST BY SECOND
AVENUE AND ON THE NORTH BY A LINE
PARALLEL TO AND DISTANT 600 FEET
NORTHERLY OF LIVE OAK AVENUE EASTERLY
OF SANTA ANITA AVENUE AND 600 FEET
NORTHERLY OF LAS TUNAS DRIVE.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, DOES ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That that portion of the City of Arcadia, County of
Los Angeles, State of California, known as 2632 South Santa Anita Avenue
and more specifically described as follows:
Lot 6 of Tract No. 11438 as recorded in Book 234,
page 22, of Maps, Records of the County Recorder of
Los Angeles County;
should be and the same is hereby reclassified to Zone PR-3, and from and
after the effective date of this Ordinance said real property shall be
rezoned and established as a district in Zone PR-3 and said Zoning Ordi-
nance and the map contained in Section 9233.21 thereof are hereby amended
to reclassify and deSignate the above-described property as a district in
Zone PR-3.
SECTION 2. That that portion of the City of Arcadia, County of
Los Angeles, State of California, known as 2626 South Santa Anita Avenue
and more specifically described as follows:
Lot 5 of Tract No. 11438 as recorded in Book 234,
page 22, of Maps, Records of the County Recorder of
Los Angeles County;

should be and the same is hereby reclassified in Zone PR-l and from and
after the effective date of this Ordinance said real property shall be
rezoned and established as a district in Zone PR-l and said Zoning Or-
dinance and the map contained in Section 9233.21 thereof are hereby
amended to reclassify and designate the above-described property as a
district in Zone PR-l.
SECTION 3. That that portion of the City of Arcadia, County
of Los Angeles, State of California, more specifically described as
follows:
Those properties bounded on the north by Live Oak
Avenue, on the west by Double Drive, on the east by
Tyler Avenue and on the south by a line described
as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the easterly line of
Double Drive and the southerly line of Lot No. 5 of
Tract No. 11539; thence easterly along the southerly
line of said Lot No.5 to the southeast corner of said
Lot No.5.; thence northerly along the easterly line
of said Lot No.5 and its northerly prolongation
thereof to its intersection with the northerly line
of the 20 foot wide alley south of Live Oak Avenue;
thence easterly along said northerly line of said
alley to its intersection with the westerly line of
Tyler Avenue;
should be and the s<~e shall remain classified in Zone C-2 only and the
D-Zone (Architectural Overlay) heretofore applicable thereto is hereby
repealed, and from and after the effective date of this Ordinance said
real property shall be zoned and established as a district in Zone C-2
and said Zoning Ordinance and the map contained in Section 9233.21
thereof are hereby amended to reclassify and designate the above-described
property as a district in Zone C-2.
SECTION 4. That that portion of the City of Arcadia, County
of Los Angeles, State of California, more specifically described as follows:
PARCEL 1: That portion of Lots No. 68 and 69 of the
Santa Anita Colony Tract bounded on the north by Las
Tunas Drive; on the south by Live Oak Avenue; on the
east by the intersection of Las Tunas Drive and Live
Oak Avenue; and on the west by the east line of the
Los Angeles County Flood Control Channel, said east
line described as follows:

Beginning at a point on the south line of Las Tunas
Drive, said point being easterly 559.10 feet from the
southeast corner of El Monte Avenue and Las Tunas
Drive; thence southeasterly to a point on the north-
erly line of Live Oak Avenue;
PARCEL ~~: Those properties south of Live Oak Avenue
and east of El Monte Avenue, further described as
Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 of Tract No. 13935
as recorded in Book 285, pages 13 and 14, of Maps,
Records of the County Recorder of Los Angeles County;
and
Those properties south of Live Oak Avenue and west of
Double Drive further described as Lots 1, 2, 3 and 4
of Tract No. 12049 as recorded in Book 224, page 21,
of Maps, Records of Los An~les County Recorder and
the northerly 150.00 feet of Lots 1, 2 and 3 of Tract
No. 10260 as recorded in Book 219, page 20, of Maps,
Records of Los Angeles County Recorder, and Lots 1,
2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 of Tract No. 10898 as recorded in
Book 189, pages 42 and 43, of Maps, Records of Los
Angeles County Recorder]
should be and the same is hereby reclassified in Zone C-M and from and
after the effective date of this Ordinance said real property shall be
rezoned and established as a district in Zone C-M and said Zoning Ordi-
nance and the map contained in Section 9233.20 thereof are hereby
amended to reclassify and designate the above-described property as a
district in Zone C-M.
SECTION 5. That that portion of the City of Arcadia, County
of Los Angeles, State of California, more specifically described as
follows:
That portion of Lot No. 68 of the Santa Anita Colony
Tract described as follows: '
Beginning at a point on the south line of Las Tunas
Drive, said point being East a distance of 60.0 feet
from the southeast corner of El Monte Avenue and
Las Tunas Drive; thence easterly along the south line
of Las Tunas Drive a distance of 418.13 feet to a
point, said point being the intersection of the south
line of Las Tunas Drive with the west line of the Los
Angeles County Flood Control channel; thence south-
easterly along said west line to its intersection with
the northerly line of Live Oak Avenue; thence south-
westerly along the northerly line of Live Oak Avenue
to a point, said point being westerly a distance of
60.0 feet from the northeast corner of Live Oak Avenue
and El Monte Avenue; thence northerly along a line
parallel to and 60.0 feet east of the east line of
El Monte Avenue to a po:l.nt on the south line of Las
Tunas Drive, said point being the point of beginning;

should be and the same is hereby reclassified in Zone C-l and from and
after the effective date of this Ordinance said real property shall be
rezoned and established as a district in Zone C-1 and said Zoning Ordi-
nance and th~ map contained in Section 9233020 thereof are hereby
amended to reclassify and designate the above-described property as a
district in Zone C-l.
SECTION 6. That. that portion of the City of Arcadia, County
of Los Angeles, State of California, more spec:l.fically described as
follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the northerly line
of Las Tilllas Drive and the easterly line of El Monte
Avenue; thence northerly along sa.id easterly line to
the southwest corner of Lot 269 Tract No, 13540, Map
Book 277, pages 11 and 12; thence easterly along the
southerly line of Lot 26 of said Tract No, 13540 and
its easte!'ly prolongation to the southeast corner of
Lot 23 of said Tract; thence northerly along the
easterly line of said Lot to the northwest corner of
Lot 27 of said Tract; thence easterly along the nor-
therly line of Lot 27 and its easterly prolongation
to its intersection with the southerly prolongation
of the easterly line of Lot 30, Tract No. 13186, Map
Book 267, pages 26 and 27; thence southerly along said
southerly prolongation to its intersection with the
northerly line of Las Tunas Drive; thence westerly
along said northerly line to the point of beginning;
should be and the same is hereby reclassified in Zone C-O and from and
after the effective date of this Ordinance sa:l.d real property shall be
rezoned and established as a d:l.strict in Zone C-O and said Zoning Ordi-
nance and the map contained in Section 9233.20 thereof are hereby
amended to reclassify and designate the above-described property as a
district in Zone C-O.
That that portion of the City of Arcadia, County of Los Angeles,
State of California, more specifically described as follows:
Beginning at the southeast corner of Lot 14, Tract No,
13540, Map Book 277, pages 11 and 12; thence northerly
along the easterly boundary of said Tract to a point
in the southerly boundary of Tract No. 13186, Map Book
267, pages 26 and 27; thence easterly along said
southerly boundary to its intersection with a line,

said line being parallel with and distant 550 feet
westerly of the westerly line of Santa Anita Avenue;
thence southerly along said parallel line to its
intersection with the easterly prolongation of the
southerly line of said Lot 14; thence westerly along
said easterly prolongation to the point of beginning;
should be and the same is hereby reclassified in Zone R-l and from and
after the effective date of this Ordinance said real property shall be
rezoned and established as a district in Zone R-l and said Zoning Ordi-
nance and the map contained in Section 9233,20 thereof are hereby
amended to reclassify and designate the above-described property as a
district in Zone R-l.
That that portion of the City of Arcadia, County of Los Angeles,
State of California, more specifically described as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the northerly line of
Las Tunas Drive and the southerly prolongation of the
easterly line of Lot 30, Tract No. 13186, Map Book 267,
pages 26 and 27; thence northerly along said southerly
prolongation to its intersection with the easterly pro-
longation of the southerly line of Lot 14, Tract No,
13540, Map Book 277, pages 11 and 12; thence easterly
along the easterly prolongation of the southerly line
of Lot 14 to its intersection with a line, said line
being parallel with and distant 550 feet westerly of
the westerly line of Santa Anita Avenue; thence northerly
along said parallel line to a point, said point being
distant 177'.5 feet southerly of the southerly boundary
of said Tract No. 13186; thence southeasterly, in a
straight l:l.ne to a point, said point being distant ..235
feet southerly of the southerly boundary of said Tract
No. 13186 and distant 425 feet westerly of the westerly
line of Santa Anita Avenue; thence easterly parallel
with said southerly boundary to a point in the westerly
line of Santa Anita Avenue; thence southerly along said
westerly line to the northerly line of Las Tunas Drive;
thence westerly along said northerly line to the point
of beginning;
should be and the same is hereby reclassified in Zone C-2 and from and
after the effective date of this Ordinance said real property shall be
rezoned and established as a district in Zone C-2 and said Zoning Ordi-
nance and the map contained in Section 9233.20 thereof are hereby amended
to reclassify and designate the above-described property as a district in
Zone C-2.

SECTION 7. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this Ordinance.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was adopted at
a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Arcadia held on
the
