ORDINANCE NO. 1309
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA,
AMENDING SECTION 9233.21 OF THE
ARCADIA MUNICIPAL CODE BY PERMANENTLY
CLASSIFYING IN ZONE C-O AND D THE
PROPERTIES KNOWN AS 2626, 2633, 2634
AND 2637 LOUISE AVENUE AND PORTIONS
OF PROPERTY ABUTTING LIVE OAK AVENUE
AND EL CAPITAN AVENUE IN SAID CITY.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, DOES
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That that portion of the City of Arcadia, County
of Los Angeles, State of California, known as 2626, 2633, 2634 and 2637
Louise Avenue and more specifically described as follows:
Lots 8, 9, 19, except the north 1 foot thereof,
and all of Lot 20 of said Tract No. 11438, as shown
on map recorded in Book 234, page 22, of Maps, Records
of said county;
should be and the same is hereby reclassified in Zones C-O and D (Ar-
chitectural Overlay) and from and after the effective date of this
Ordinance said real property shall be rezoned and established as a
district in Zones C,.O and D (Architectural Overlay) and said Zoning Or-
dinance and the map contained in Section 9233.21 thereof are hereby
amended to reclassify and designate the above-described property as a
district in Zones C-O and D (Architectural Overlay).
SECTION 2. That that portion of the City of Arcadia, County
of Los Angeles, State of California, known as 55 and 67 Live Oak Avenue
and more specifically described as follows:
That portion of the east 240 feet of Lot 65, Arcadia
Acreage Tract, as shown on map recorded in Book 10,
page 18, of Maps, Records of said County lying south
of a line extending from a point one foot south of the
northeast corner of Lot 19 of Tract No. 11438, per
map recorded in Book 234, page 22, of Maps, Records of
said County, to the northwest corner of Lot 2 of
Tract No. 12915, per map recorded in Book 270, page 10,
of Maps, Records of said County;

should be and the same is hereby reclassified in Zones c-o and D
(Architectural Overlay) and from and after the effective date of this
Ordinance said real property shall be rezoned and established as a
district in Zones C-O and D (Architectural Overlay) and said Zoning
Ordinance and the map contained in Section 9233.21 thereof are hereby
amended to reclassify and designate the above-described property as
a district in ZonesC-O and D (Architectural Overlay).
SECTION 3. That the restrictions made applicable to the said
properties under Zone D (Architectural Overlay) shall be as follows:
a. That all commercial buildings shall face Live Oak Avenue
and shall be on building sites oriented from Live Oak Avenue northerly
to a six (6) foot high concrete block wall constructed along the north
line of Lots 9 and 19, Tract No. 11438 and along the zoning district
line across the east 240 feet of Lot 65, Arcadia Acreage Tract. Lots
8 and 9 of Tract No. 11438 shall be developed as one (1) building
site, and Lots 19 and 20 of said Tract No. 11438 shall be developed as
one (1) build:l.ng site.
b. The Planning Commission or City Council may modify any of
the foregoing conditions if such modification will not adversely affect
property or improvements in the vicinity and if such modification will
equally accomplish substantially the same results as will adherence
to the foregoing conditions.
SECTION 4. Any section of Ordinance No. 1181 adopted August 7,
1962, in conflict herewith shall be repealed.
SECTION 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this Ordinance.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was adopted at
a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Arcadia held on
the 2nd
