HomeMy WebLinkAbout1272 ORDINANCE NO. 1272 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, ESTABLISHING THE REAL PROPERTY WITHIN THE LIMITS OF PROPOSED "ANNEXATION NO. 33, WEST ARCADIA UNINHABITED" IN ZONES C-l AND D (ARCHITECTURAL OVERLAY) AND AMENDING THE ARCADIA MUNICIPAL CODE ACCORDINGLY. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That after proceedings duly instituted and public hearings duly held by and before the City Planning Commission and the City Council of the City of Arcadia, concurrent with the proceedings for the annexation to the City of Arcadia of the territory hereinafter described and after due notice as required by law, this Council hereby determines that the property hereinafter described, comprising "Annexa- tion No. 33, West Arcadia Uninhabited", in the County of Los Angeles, State of California, to wit: Beginning at an angle point in the City of Arcadia Boundary, as same existed on May 1, 1964, said angle point being the intersection of a line that is parallel with the easterly line of Lot 3, Block A, Santa Anita Land Company's Tract, as shown on map recorded in Book 6, Page 137 of Maps, in the office of the Recorder of Los Angeles County, and 378 feet easterly, measured along the northerly line of said lot from the northwesterly corner thereof, and the southerly line of said Lot 3, said southerly line now being the center line of Naomi Avenue 50 feet wide; thence westerly 411 feet, more or less, along said southerly line and its westerly prolongation to the center line of Golden West Avenue, 60 feet wide, as shown on map of said tract; thence northerly along said last mentioned center line 330 feet to said City of Arcadia boundary; thence easterly along said boundary and following the same through its various courses and distances to the point of beginning, should be and the same is hereby classified and established in Zone C-l and also in Zone D (Architectural Overlay), and from and after the effective date of this ordinance said real property shall be zoned and established as a district in Zone C-l and Zone D (Architectural Overlay) -1- 1272 under the provisions of the Zoning Ordinance, and concurrent with the effective date of the annexation of said territory to the City of Arcadia, the Zoning Map and the map contained in Section 9233.12 of the Arcadia Municipal Code shall be amended to classify and designate the above described property as a district in Zone C-l and also in Zone D (Architectural Overlay). SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Ordinance.
