HomeMy WebLinkAbout1208 ORDINANCE NO. 1208 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING SECTION 9233.22 OF THE ARCADIA MUNICIPAL CODE BY RECLASSIFYING FROM R-l TO ZONES M-1 AND D (ARCHITECTURAL OVERLAY) OF'PROPERTY WITHIN ANNEXATION NO. 30, SOUTHEAST ARCADIA (UNINHABITED). THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That after proceedings duly conducted by the City Planning Commission, on its own motion, and public hearings duly held by and before the City Council, after due notice as re- quired by law, this Council hereby determines that the public neces- sity, convenience, general welfare and good zoning practice Justify the reclassification as hereinafter provided of property located within Annexation No. 30, Southeast Arcadia (Uninhabited). SECTION 2. That the property located within Annexation No. 30, Southeast Arcadia (Uninhabited), County of Los Angeles, State of California, described as follows: Beginning at a point in the southwesterly boundary of the City of Arcadia, as same existed on October 1, 1962, said point being at the intersection of the southwesterly line of Clark Street, 50 feet wide, as shown on map of Chicago Park, recorded in Book 30, page 100, of Miscellaneous Records, in the office of the Recorder of Los Angeles County and the southeasterly line of Durfee Avenue, 80 feet wide, as shown on map of Tract No. 13286, recorded in Book 268, pages 29 to 32 inclusive, of Maps in the office of said Recorder of Los Angeles County; thence southwesterly along said southeasterly line 628.09 feet more or less, to its intersection with the southwesterly line of Randolph Street, as shown on map of said Chicago Park; thence southeasterly along the last mentioned line to an angle point in the existing City of Arcadia boundary; thence southeasterly along said boundary, following its various courses and distances to the point of beginning; -1- l208 Should be and the same is hereby reclassified and established in Zones M-1 and,?,(Ar~h~~e?tural Overlay) and from and after the effec- tive date of this ordinance said real property shall be rezoned and established as a district in Zones M-l and D (Architectural Overlay) and subJect to the architectural restrictions .imposed by Resolution adopted concurrently herewith, under the provisions of the Zoning Ordinance of said City, as amended, and said Zoning Ordinance and the map contained in Section 9233.22 thereof are hereby amended to re- classify and designate the above-described property as a district in Zones C-2 and D (Architectural Overlay). SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this ordinance.
