JOHNSON............. Director HAROLD L, TEEL ............. Chief Deputy January 6, 1964 Mr. James Nicklin City Attorney City of Arcadia 240 West Huntington Drive Arcadia, California Dear Mr. Nicklin: Mr. Stan Greene of the County-City Coordinator's Office has brought to my attention the concern of your City Council regarding the adop- 'tion of County Ordinance No. 8354. It is my understanding that members of the Council feel that Section 36 may interfere with future Fourth of July 1"ireworks shows sponsored by the American Legion in Arcadia Park. The American Legion has conducted its fireworks shows under permit from this Department. We have worked closely with the Legion from year to year. The County request that the City adopt our rules and regulations should, in no way, be interpreted as an attempt to restrict in any way the activities which have normally been held at Arcadia Park in the past. We expect that shows sponsored by the American Legion as well as other ann 1 events will continue at Arcadia Park. / tr]y yo u ,s', - ,j - - / v/ .,.7 /, :/ ;f?-;?--;ff--?e" ohnson, Director HENT OF PARKS AND RECREATION
