,AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA,
AMENDING SECTION 9233.19 OF THE
ARCADIA MUNICIPAL CODE BY RECLASSIFYING
FROM ZONE R-l TO ZONES C-2, PR-l AND
D (ARCHITECTURAL OVERLAY)" THE PROPERTY
LOCATED AT THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF LAS
TUNAS DRIVE AND BALDWIN AVENUE AND
DENYING THE REQUESTED RECLASSIFICATION
OF THE PROPERTY AT 2612 SOUTH BALDWIN
AVENUE IN SAID CITY.

THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA,
DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That after proceedings duly conducted by the
City Planning Commission, upon petition of property owners and on
its own motion, and public hearings duly held by and before the
City Council, after due notice as required by law, this Council
hereby determines that the public necessity, convenience, general
welfare and good zoning practice justify the reclassific.ation as
hereinafter provided of property located at 525, 529, 601, 603,
615, 621 and 625 Las Tunas Drive, and that the requested reclassi-
fication or property at 2612 South Baldwin Avenue should be denied.
SECTION 2. That property located at 525 through 625
Las Tunas Drive in"the City of Arcadia, County of Los Angeles,
State of California, described as follows:
Lots 18, 19, 20, 21 and 22, and the West 50
feet of Lot 17, Tract No. 6641, as shown on
map recorded in Book 126, page 67, of Maps,
Records of said County,
should be and the same is hereby reclassified and established in
Zone C-2 and Zone b' {Architectural Overlay) and from and after
the effective date of this ordinance said real property shall be
rezoned and established as a district in Zones C-2 and D (Archi-
tectural Overlay) under the provisions of the Zoning Ordinance of
said City, as amended, and said Zoning Ordinance and the map

contained in Section 9233.19 thereof are hereby amended to re-
classify and designate the above-described property as a district
in Zones C-2 and D (Architectural Design).
SECTION 3. That property located at 525 Las Tunas Drive
in the City of Arcadia, County of Los Angeles, State of California"
described as follows:
The easterly 25 feet of Lot 17 and the westerly
25 feet of Lot 16, of said Tract No. 6641,
should be and the same is hereby reclassified and established in
Zones P and D (Architectural Overlay) in addition to the basic R-l
zoning, and from and 'after the effective date of this ordinapce
said real property shall be rezoned and established as a district
in Zones PR-l and D (Architectural Overlay) under the provisions
of the Zoning Ordinance of said City, as amended and said Zoning
Ordinance and the map contained in Section 9233.19 thereof are
hereby amended to recl~ssify and designate the above-described
property as a district in Zones PR-l and D (Architectural Design).
SECTION 4. That the requested reclassification of prop-
erty located at 2612 South Baldwin Avenue in the City of Arcadia,
County of Los Angeles, State of California, described as follows:
Lot 2, of said Tract No. 6641,
should be and the same is hereby denied.
SECTION 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this ordinance.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing ordinance was adopted
at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Arcadia
held on the 2nd
day of January ,1962, by the affirmative vote
of at least three Councilmen, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Butterworth, Phillips and Reibold
NOES: Councilman Balser
ABSENT: Councilman Camphouse
