HomeMy WebLinkAbout1113 ORDINANCE NO. 1113 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCAIDA, CALIFORNIA, ESTABLISHING THE REAL PROPERTY ~lITHIN THE LIMITS OF PROPOSED ANNEXATION NO. 20, SOUTHEAST ARCADIA (UNINHABITED) IN ZONES M~l AND D (ARCHITECTURAL OVERLAY). THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFDRNIA, DOES ,ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That after proceedings duly instituted and publiC hearings duly held by and before the City Planning Commis- sion and the City Council of the City of Arcadia, concurrent with the proceedings for the annexation to the City of Arcadia of the territory hereinafter described and after due notice as required by law, this Council hereby determines that the property herein- after described, comprising Annexation No. 20, Southeast Arcadia (Uninhabited), in the County of Los Angeles, State of California, to wi t : -1- 1113 "ANNEXATION NO. 20, SOUTHEAST ARCADIA (UNINHABITED)" TO THE CITY OF ARCADIA Beginning at a,point in the boundary of the City of Ar- cadia, as same existed, on July 1, 1960, (along the northwesterly line of Peck Road), said point being the point of intersection of said boundary with the northwesterly prolongation of the north- easterly line of Dearborn Street, 50 feet wide as shown on map of Chicago Park, recorded in Book 30, page 100 of Miscellaneous Rec- ords, in the office of the Los Angeles County Recorder; thence southwesterly 975.40 feet more or less, along said boundary and northwesterly line of Peck Road to a point of intersection with the northwesterl,r prolongation of the southwesterly line of vacated Randolph Street, 25 feet wide, said southwesterly line being along the northeasterly lines of Lots 1 and 7 of the Coffin and Armstrong Tract as per map recorded in Book 2, page 39 of Maps in the office of the Los Angeles County Recorder; thence southeasterly along the last mentioned prolongation and southwesterly line to the north- westerly line of Cogswell Road, 50 feet wide, as per map of Tract No. 13286 recorded in Book 268, pages 29 to 32 of Maps in the office of the Los Angeles County Recorder; thence northeasterly along the northwesterly line of said Cogswell Road to a point of intersection with the southwesterly line of Clark Street, 50 feet wide as shown on said map of Chicago Park; thence southeasterly'along the south- westerly line of said Clark street to a point of intersection with the existing boundary of said City of Arcadia; thence northeasterly and northwesterly along said boundary to the point of beginning. -2- 1113 should be and the same is hereby classified and established in Zone M-l and also in Zone D (Architectural Overlay), and from and after the effective date of this ordinance said real property shall be zoned and established as a district in Zone M-l and Zone D (Architectural Overlay) under the provisions of the Zoning Ordinance, and concurrent with the effective date of the annexa- tion of said territory to the City of Arcadia, the Zoning Map and the map contained in Section 9233.22 of the Arcadia Municipal Code shall be amended to classify and designate the above de- scribed property as a district in Zone M-l and also in Zone D (Architectural Overlay). SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Ordinance. I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing ordinance was adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Arcadia, held on the 6th day of December , 1960, by the affirma- tive vote of at least three councilmen, to wit: AYES: Councilmen Butterworth, Phillips, Reibold and Camphouse NOES: None ABSENT: Councilman Balser ~~~2JauJ~ City Clerk of the City of Arca ia SIGNED AND APPROVED this 6th day of December, 1960.
