HomeMy WebLinkAbout1115 ORDINANCE NO. 1115 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, ESTABLISHING CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY AT 1104 AND 1108 SOUTH BALDWIN AVENUE IN SAID CITY IN ZONE C-2. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALI.I!'ORNIA, DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That after proceedings duly instituted and public hearings duly held by and before the City Planning Commission and the City Council, after due notice as required by law, this Council hereby determines that the following described real property located at 1104 and 1108 South Baldwin Avenue in the City of Arcadia, County of Los Angeles, State of California, to wit: Part of Lots 38, 39 and 40, Tract No. 3430, as shown on map recorded in Book 42, page 32, of Maps, records of said county, described as follows: Parcell: Part of Lot 39, commencing at the northwest corner of Lot 39; thence South 3043' West 100.89 feet; thence North 86010'10" East 215.48 feet; thence South 3043' West 40 feet; thence North 86010'10" East-150.34 feet; thence North 139.98 feet; thence South 86010'10" West 356.66 feet to beginning, except the West 150 feet thereof; Parcel 2: Part of Lots 39 and 40, commencing South 3043' West 100.89 feet from the north- west corner of Lot 39; thence South 3043' West 90 feet; thence North 89039'35" East 218.25 feet; thence North 63 feet; thence North 3043' East 40 feet; thence South 86010'10" "lest 215 feet to beginning, except the.vlest 150 feet thereof; Parcel 3: Lot 38, except the West 150 feet thereof; should be and the same is hereby reclassified and established in Zone C-2 and from and after the effective date of this ordinance said real property shall be rezoned and established as a district in Zone C-2 under the provisions of the Zoning Ordinance, and the Zoning Jllap and the map contained in Sec tion 9233.12 of the Arcadia -1- 1115 Municipal Code are hereby amended to reclassify and designate the above described property as a district in Zone C-2. That the afore- said reclassification of the above-described property to Zone C-2 is conditional upon the removal from said property of all structures now located thereon, for the reason that such structures would be- come nonconforming under such Zone C-2 classification, and such C-2 reclassification shall not become effective nor shall the above- described property be used for any purposes other than those per- mitted under the zone classification heretofore applicable to said property until all such existing structures shall have been removed therefrom. SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Ordinance.
