HomeMy WebLinkAbout1119 ORDINANCE NO. 1119 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA ESTABLISHING CERTAIN CITY-OWNED REAL PROPERTY WEST OF PECK ROAD IN ZONES M-l AND D (ARCHITECTURAL OVERLAY). THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That the property hereinafter described has been owned by the City of Arcadia since it was annexed to said City on February 26, 1941 and Section 9232.7 of the Arcadia Municipal Code provides that property owned by the City, shall, while so owned, be deemed unclassified for zoning purposes; that an agreement for sale of a portion of said property contains a condition that said property shall be zoned, developed and used for industrial purposes. SECTION 2. That after proceedings duly instituted and public hearings thereon duly held by and before the City Planning Commission and the City Council, after due notice as required by law, the property situated west of Peck Road in the City of Arcadia, County of Los Angeles, State of California, to wit: A port1.on of Lot 22, E. J. Baldwin's Subdivision of Lots 15-20 and 29-35 of the Rancho San Fran- cisquito, as shown on map recorded in Book 42, page 86 of Miscellaneous Records in the office of the Recorder of Los Angeles County; and por- tions of Lots 14 and 15 of the Western Two-Thirds Rancho San Francisquito, as shown on map recorded in Book 42, pages 93 and 94, of Miscellaneous Records in the office of said recorder, described as follows: That strip of land lying northwesterly of and adjacent to Peck Road 60 feet wide, said strip having a uniform depth of 370 feet, bounded north- erly.' and' southerly by the Arcadia City Boundary; and being a portion of that certain parcel of land conveyed to the City of Arcadia by deed recorded in Book 10705, page 55 of official records of Los Angeles County; except therefrom the southeasterly 20 feet measured at right angles to said Peck Road, -1- 1119 should be and the same is hereby reclassified and established in Zone M-l and also in Zone D (Architectural Overlay), and from and after the effective date of this ordi~a~ce said real property shall be rezoned and established as a district in Zone M-l and Zone D (Archi tec tural Overlay). under the provisions of the Zoning Ordinance and the Zoning Map and the map contained in Section 9233.22 of the Arcadia Municipal Code are hereby amended to reclassify and designate the above described property as a district in Zone M-l and also in Zone P (Architectural Overlay). SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Ordinance.
