SECTION 2. That at
regular meeting of said City Council

held on the 5th day of July, 1961, at the hour of 8:00 o'clock p.m.,
in the Council Chamber of said City Council in the Arcadia City
Hall, 240 West Huntington Drive, Arcadia, said City Council did find
and determine that the publication of Resolution No. 3385 had been
made at the time and in the manner required by Section 35311 of the
Government Code of the State of California. That the annexation of
said territory is not prohibited either by Section 35002.5 or by
Section 35326 of the said Government Code. That the territory pro-
posed to be annexed as described by said Resolution No. 3385 was and
is uninhabited and is contiguous to the City of Arcadia. That writ-
ten protest was not made either by private owners of one-half of the
value of the privately owned territory proposed to be annexed or by
public owners of one-half of' the publicly owned territory proposed
to be annexed.
SECTION 3. That under and pursuant to and in accordance
with the provisions of an act of the legislature of the State of
,California entitled "'Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of
1939", the annexation to the City of Arcadia of that certain unin-
habited territory contiguous to said City as described in Resolu-
tion No. 3385, adopted by said City Council of said City on May 16,
'1961, and therein designated as "Annexation No. 24, South Arcadia
Uninhabited", b,e and the same is hereby ratified, confirmed and
approved. That a specific description of the boundaries of said
territory, as submitted to and favorably reported upon by the
Boundary Commission of Los Angeles County pursuant to Section 35002
of the California Government Code', is as follows:

"ANNEXATION NO. 24, SOUTH ARCADIA UNINHABITED"
TO THE CITY OF ARCADIA
Beginning at the intersection of the center line of
Tyler Avenue, 80 feet wide, as said center line is shown on map
of Tract No. 11584, recorded in Book 213, pages 2 and 3, of Maps,
in the office of the Recorder of Los Angeles County, State of
California, with the northeasterly prolongation of the northwest-
erly line of Lot 67, said Tract No. 11584, said point being the
northwesterly corner of the land described in Certificate of Title
No. 2AM-120696, recorded in the office of said recorder; thence
along the northwesterly line of said land and along the northwest- '
erly line of that parcel of land described in "PARCEL 297" in a
Lis Pendens in Superior Court Case No. 599406, recorded in Book
38952, page 202, of Official Records, in the office of said re-
corder, North 60028'16" East 1747.20 feet to the northeasterly
terminus of last S~id northwesterly line; thence along the north-
westerly line of the parcel of land described in deed to the Los
Angeles County Flood Control District recorded in Book 34536, page
393 of said Official Records, North 60009'21" East 130.10 feet
more or less to the boundary line of the City of Arcadia as same
existed on April 11, 1961; thence southerly along said boundary
to its intersection with the general northerly boundary line of
the City of El Monte as same existed on above mentioned date;
thence southwesterly along the various courses and distances of
said general no:rtherly boundary line to the northeasterly corner
of Lot 67 of said Tract No. 11584; thence northeasterly in a
direct line to the point of beginning.

SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this ordinance.
The Clty Clerk shall upon the taking effect of this ordi-
nance, make and certify under the seal of the City of Arcadia and
transmit to the Secretary of State of the State of California a
copy of this ordinance giving the date of its passage.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing ordinance was adopted
at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Arcadia,
held on the day of , 1961, by the affirmative vote
of at least three Councilmen, to wit:
