HomeMy WebLinkAbout1067 ORDINANCE NO. 1067 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, ESTABLISHING CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY WITHIN THE LIMITS OF PROPOSED "ANNEXATION NO. 19, SOUTH ARCADIA UNINHABITED (REVISED)" IN ZONES R-2, R-3, C-2, C-M, C-M AND D (ARCHITECTURAL OVERLAY) AND M-l. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That after proceedings duly instituted and pub- lic hearings duly held by and before the City Planning Commission and the City Council of the City of Arcadia, concurrent with the pro- ceedings for the annexation to the City of Arcadia of the territory hereinafter described and after due notice as required by law, this Council hereby determines that property hereinafter described lo- cated in "Annexation No. 19, South Arcadia Uninhabited (ReVised)" should be and the same is hereby classified and established in the respective zones as hereinafter set forth. SECTIOK 2. That the following described property in the County of Los Angeles, State of California, should be and the same is hereby classified and established in Zone R-2, to wit: Parcell. A portion of Lot 12, Western Two- Thirds Rancho San Francisquito, as shown on map recorded in Book 42, pages 93 and 94, of Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County, described as follows: Beginn1.ng at a point in the north line of Lynrose Street (60 feet wide), said point also being in the north line of Tract No. 16917, as shown on map recorded in Book 386, pages ~7 to 50, of Maps, records of said County, distant North 80009'15" East 200.57 feet from its intersection with the west line of said Lot 12; thence North 80009'15" East -1- 1067 on said north line 246 feet to the begin- ning of a curve concave to the northwest and having a radius of 15 feet; thence north- easterly alo~ said curve 23.56 feet; thence North 9050'45' West along the west line of Lenore Avenue ~80 feet wide), 170 feet; thence South 80009'15' West 261 feet; thence South 9050'45" East 185 feet to beginning. Parcel 2. That portion of Lot 126, Arcadia Acreage Tract, as shown on map recorded in Book 10, page 18, of Maps, records of Los Angeles County, described as follows: Beginning at the intersection of the east line of Sixth Avenue with the northwest line of Live Oak Avenue; thence north along the said east line of Sixth Avenue 101.23 feet; thence North 80041' East 105.06 feet; thence South 9019' East 100 feet to the northwest line of Live Oak Avenue; thence South 80041' West thereon to the point of beginning. Parcel 3. That portion of Lot 126, Arcadia Acreage Tract, as shown on map recorded in Book 10, page 18, of Maps, records of Los Angeles County, described as follows: Beginn1.ng at a point distant South 80041' West 1~~9 feet and North 9019' West 100 feet from the intersection of the northwest line of Live Oak Avenue with the westerly line of the easement to the Los Angeles County Flood Control District per Official Records 17363, page 299; thence North 9019' West to the south line of the land described in Official Records 18097, page 217; thence west on said south line to the east line of Sixth Avenue; thence south thereon 71.75 feet; thence North 80041' East to the point of beginning. SECTION 3. That the following described property in the County of Los Angeles, State of California, should be and the same is hereby classified and established in Zone R-3, to wit: Parcell. A portion of Lot 12, Western Two- Thirds Rancho San Francisquito, as shown on map recorded in Book 42, pages 93 and 94, of Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County, described as follows: Beginning at the intersection of the west line of said Lot 12 with the north line of Lynrose Street (60 feet wide), said north line being also the north line of Tract No. 16917 as shown on map recorded in Book 386, pages 47 -2- 1067 to 50, of Maps, records of Los Angeles County; thence North 80009'15" East along the north line of Lynrose Street 256.57 feet; thence North 9050'45" West 185 feet to the true point of beginning; thence North 9050'45" West 194.66 feet to the south line of Live Oak Avenue (100 feet wide); thence North 80009'15" East along said sO"clth line 180 feet; thence South 54050 '45" East 35.36 feet; thence South 9050'45" East along the westerly line of Lenore Street 169.66 feet; thence South 80009'15" West 205 feet to the true point of beginning. SECTION 4. That the following described property in the County of Los Angeles, state of California, should be and the same is hereby classified and established in Zone C-2, to wit: Parcell. Part of Lot 32, E. J. Baldwin's Addition No. 1 to Santa Anita Colony, as shown on map recorded in Book 52, page 60, of Mis- cellaneous Records of Los Angeles County de- scribed as follows: Beginning at the intersection of the west line of El Monte Avenue (72 feet wide) as shown on map of Tract No. 13935, recorded in Book 285, pages 13 and 14, of Maps, records of said County, with the south line of Live Oak Avenue (55 feet wide) as shown on map of Tract No. 12619 re- corded in Book 259, page 42, of Maps, records of said County; thence westerly along the said south line of Live Oak Avenue 198 feet; thence southerly parallel with the said westerly line of El ~Ionte Avenue 330 feet; thence easterly parallel with the southerly line of said Live Oak Avenue 198 feet to the said westerly line of El Monte Avenue; thence northerly thereon 330 feet to the point of beginning. Parcel 2. Lots 1 to 5, inclusive, Tract No. 11539, as shown on map recorded in Book 3, page 23, of Maps, Records of Los Angeles County. Parcel 3. Lots 1 to 12, inclusive, Tract No. 15628, as shown on map recorded in Book 354, page 25, of Maps, Records of Los Angeles County. Parcel 4. Lots 1 to 15, inclusive, Tract No. 13623, as shown on map recorded in Book 278, page 29, of Maps, Records of Los Angeles County. Parcel 5. A portion of Lot 12, Western Two- Thirds Rancho San Francisquito, as shown on map recorded in Book 42, pages 93 and 94, of Mis- cellaneous Records of Los Angeles County, de- scribed as follows: -3- 1067 Beginning at the northwest corner of Lot 1, Tract No. 15233, as shown on map recorded in Book 332, page 30, of Maps, Records of Los Angeles County; thence South 9050'45" East 170 feet; thence South 80009'15" West 100 feet; thence North 9050'45" West 145 feet; thence North 3509'15" East 35.36 feet; thence North 8009'15" East 75 feet to the point of beginning. Parcel 5. Lots 1 to 6, inclusive, Tract No. 15233, as shown on map recorded in Book 332, page 30, of Maps, Records of Los Angeles County. Parcel 7. A part of Lot 6, Tract No. 11382, as shown on map recorded in Book 240, page 45, of Maps, Records of Los Angeles County, de- scribed as follows: Beginning at the southeasterly corner of said Lot 6, thence westerly along the southerly line of said lot 77.32 feet; thence North 27002'47" East 166.54 feet to the easterly line of said lot; thence southerly thereon 135.99 feet to the point of beginning. Parcel 8. That portion of Lot 11, Western Two- Thirds of Rancho San Francisquito, as shown on map recorded in Book 42, pages 93 and 94, of Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County, described as follows: Beginning at the intersection of the southerly line of .Live Oak Avenue (100 feet wide) with the easterly line of Tyler Avenue (80 feet wide) as said intersection is shown on the map of Tract No. 13623, recorded in Book 278, page 29, of Maps, in the office of said county recorder; thence easterly along said southerly line 140 feet; thence southerly parallel with said east- erly line 145 feet; thence westerly parallel with said southerly line 140 feet to said east- erly line; thence northerly along said easterly line to the point of beginning. Parcel 9. All that portion of Lot 126, Arcadia Acreage Tract, as shown on map recorded in Book 10, page 18, of Maps, records of Los Angeles County, lying southerly and westerly of the boundary line of the City of Arcadia as it ex- isted on October 1, 1959, except that portion described as Parcels 2 and 3 in Section 2 herein- above. SECTION 5. That the following described property in the County of Los Angeles, state of California, should be and the same is hereby classified and established in Zone C-M, to wit: -4- 1067 Parcell. Lots 1 to 9, inclusive, Tract No. 13935, as shown on map recorded in Book 285, pages 13 and 14, of Maps, Records of Los Angeles County. Parcel 2. Lots 1, 2 and 3, and Lot 4, ex- cept the east one foot thereof, Tract No. 12049, as shown on map recorded in Book 224, page 21, of Maps, Records of Los Angeles County. Parcel 3. Lots 1 to 6, inclusive, Tract No. 10898, as shown on map recorded in Book 189, page 43. of Maps, Records of Los Angeles County. SECTION 6. That the following described property in the County of Los Angeles, State of California, should be and the same is hereby classified and established in Zone C-M and Zone D (Archi- tectural Overlay), to wit: Parcell. All those portions of Lots 11 and 12, Western Two-Thirds Rancho San Francisquito, as shown on map recorded in Book 42, pages 93 and 94, of Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County, bounded on the north by the southerly line of Live Oak Avenue; on the east by the westerly line of Lenore Avenue; on the south by the northerly line of Lynrose street; and on the west by the easterly line of Tyler Ave- nue; except those portions thereof described as Parcell in Section 2 hereof, Parcell in Section 3 hereof, and Parcel 8 in Section 4 hereof. SECTION 7. That the following described property in the County of Los Angeles, State of California, should be and the same is hereby classified and established in Zone M-1, to wit: Parcell. Lots 1, 2 and 3, Tract No. 10280, as shown on map recorded in Book 3, page 23, of Maps, Records of Los Angeles County. Parcel 2. The east one foot of Lot 4, Tract No. 12049, as shown on map recorded in Book 224, page 21, of Maps, Records of Los Angeles County. SECTION 8. That from and after the effective date of this ordinance, said real property hereinabove described shall be thus respectively esta.blished as districts in Zones R-2, R-3, C-2, C-M, -5- 1067 C-M and D (Architectural Overlay) and M-1 under the provisions of Ordinance No. 760 of said City, as amended, and said ordinance and the map therein contained are hereby amended to classify and desig- nate the above described property accordingly. SECTION 9. This ordinance is adopted pursuant to Section 65806 of the Government Code of the state of California and Subsec- tion E of Section 3 of Ordinance No. 760 of the City of Arcadia, and is hereby declared to be an emergency measure necessary for the immediate preservation and protection of public health, safety and welfare and shall take effect immediately upon its adoption. The facts constituting the emergency are hereby declared to be as fol- lows: The property hereinabove described has been or is being an- nexed to the Cit;T of Arcadia. Under provisions of Subsection D of Section 3 of Ordinance No. 760 of the City of Arcadia, the fore- going property will automatically be classified as Zone R-l upon annexation. The classification to Zone R-l of the property herein- above described is impractical and will preclude the proper develop- ment and use of said property and such classification would be con- trary to the facts and circumstances concerning said property. It is therefore necessary that this ordinance take effect immediately upon its adoption. SECTION 10. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this ordinance and prior to the expiration of fifteen (15) days from the adoption thereof shall cause the same to be published once in the Arcadia Tribune and Arcadia News, a newspaper of general circulation published and circulated in the City of Arcadia.
