ORDINANCE NO. 10~2
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA,
CONSENTING TO THE ESTABLISHMENT OF
A PART OF LOWER AZUSA ROAD AS A
COUNTY HIGHWAY.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, DOES
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the Board of Supervisors of the County
of Los Angeles pursuant to Sections 1700 to 1704, inclusive, of the
Streets and Hi~1ways Code of the State of California, declared that
portion of Lowel~ Azusa Road lying within the City of Arcadia to be
a part of system of county highways in said County and that said
Board of Supervisors proposes to improve said street pursuant to
said sections upon receipt of consent of the governing body of the
City of Arcadia.
SECTION 2. That said portion of Lower Azusa Road, which
became a part of the City of Arcadia by reason of Annexation No. 15,
extends from approximately 550 feet easterly of the intersection of
Roseg1en Street with Lower Azusa Road to the east Arcadia city
boundary at the San Gabriel River, a distance of approximately 1550
feet.
SECTION 3. That pursuant to Section 1701 of the Streets
and Highways Code of the State of California consent to the establish-
ment of the above described portion of Lower Azusa Road as a part of
the county highway system is hereby granted upon condition that all
construction and improvement thereof be done within the eighty (80)
foot right of way heretofore approved by the City of Arcadia on
August 18, 1959 and shown on Map No.6 ML 61.2 dated October 9, 1959
and prepared by the Los Angeles County Road Department.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall forward certified copies
of this ordinance to the Board of Supervisors of the County of Los
Angeles and to Mr. N. H. Templin, Road Commissioner, County of Los
Angeles Road Department.

SECTION 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this ordinance and prior to the expiration of fifteen (15) days
from the passage thereof shall cause the same to be published once
in the Arcadia Tribune and Arcadia News, a newspaper of general
circulation published and circulated in the City of Arcadia.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing ordinance was adopted
at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Arcadia,
held on the 21st day of June
, 1960, by the affirmative vote
of at least three Councilmen, to wit:
