HomeMy WebLinkAbout1086 ORDINANCE NO. 1086 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, RECLASSIFYING CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY ON THE WEST SIDE OF NORTH FIFTH AVENUE TO ZONES C-M AND D (ARCHITECTURAL OVERLAY) . THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, DOES DETERMINE AND ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That after hearings duly instituted and held, after notice requ:Lred by law, by and before the City Planning Com- mission and the City Council, this Council by Ordinance No. 1015, passed, approved and adopted June 4, 1958, did determine that cer- tain real property on the west side of North Fifth Avenue between Huntington Drive and the Pacific Electric Railroad right of way should be zoned for commeroia1 purposes when curbs and gutters shall have been installed along Fifth Avenue abutting said property. SECTION 2. That proper provision, as determined to be necessary prior to reclassification under Ordinance No. 1015, hav- ing been made by the installation of curbs and gutters along Fifth Avenue abutting the property, satisfactory to the Department of Public Works pf the City of Arcadia, the following described real property in the City of Arcadia, County of Los Angeles, State of California, to wit: The east 150 feet of Lot 4, except the north 110 feet of the south 130 feet thereof; and the east 150 feet of that portion of Lot 5 lying south of the Southern Pacific Railroad right of way; Block 84, Santa Anita Tract, as shown on map recorded in Book 34, pages 41 and 42, Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County; shall be and the same is hereby reclassified from Zone R-3 to Zones C-M and D (Architectural Overlay) and from and after the effective date of this ordinance said property shall be rezoned and established as a district in Zones C-M and D (Architectural Overlay) under the provisions of Ordinance No. 760 of said City adopted May 3, 1949, -1- 1086 and as thereafter amended; and said Ordinance No. 760 as amended, and the map therein contained, are hereby amended to reclassify and to designate the above described property as a district in Zones C-M and D (Architectural Overlay) under the provisions of Ordinance No. 760 as amended. SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this ordinance and prior to the expiration of fifteen (15) days from the passage thereof shall cause the same to be published once in the Arcadia Tribune and Arcadia News, a newspaper of general circulation, published and circulated in the City of Arcadia.
