AN ORDINANOE OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE OITY OF ARCADIA PROHIBITING oTHE OPERATION OF ANY MOVING PICTURE HOUSE OR THEATRE ON SUNDAYS PRIOR TO THE HOUR OF ONE O'CLOCK P. M., PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF AND REPEALING ORDIN.ANCE NO. 82 OF SAID CITY OF ARCADIA. . THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1: That Ordinance No. 82 of said City of Arcadia, entitled, nAn Ordinance of the Board of Trustees of the City of Ar- cadia prohibj.ting the operation of any moving picture theatre on Sundays within said City of Arcadia and providing a penalty for the violation thereofn, adopted on the 21st. day of ,August, 1918, be and the same ie hereby repealed. SECTION 2: That it shall be unlavlful for any person, firm or corporation to conduct, maintain or keep open within the corpor- ats limits of said City of Arcadia, upon or on any Sunday prior to the hour of one o'clock P. M. any moving picture house or theatre. SECTION 3: That any person, firm or corporation violating any of the provisions of this Ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeano:r and upon conviction thereof shall be punishable by a fine not exceeding $300.00 or by imprisonment in the City Jail of said City of Arcadia for a period not exceeding three months, or by both such fine and imprisonment. SEOTION~: The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Ordinance and shall cause the same to be published once in the Arcadia Journal, a weekly newspaper published and circulated in said City of Arcadia and thirty days from and after the final passage thereof, the' same shall take effect and be in force.
