C 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 . 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 do ordain as follows: SECTION 1: That a Special Municipal Election be and the same is hereby called to be held Tuesday, August 12, 1924, for the purpose of submitting thereat to the qualified voters of said City the proposition of incurring on the part of said City of Arcadia of a certain bonded indebtedness for the purposes set forth in said Resolution and hereinafter stated. SECTION 2: Tllat said proposition to be voted on at said Election so to be held as aforesaid, is as follows: The issuing of bonds of the CHy of Arcadia in the sum of Two Hundred and Twenty-five Tnousand ($225,000.00) Dollars in accordance with the provisions of an Act of the Legislature of the State of California, entitled, "An Act Authorizing the Incurring of Indebtedness by Cities, Towns and Municipal Corporations for Municipal Improvements and regulating the Acquisition, Construction or Completion thereofll becoming, a lau February 25, 1901, and all acts amendatory thereof and supplementary thereto, and with the General Inco,rporation Act of the State of California for Cities of the Sixth Class, for the purpose of the construction and completion by said City of Arcadia of a certain municipal improvement, to-wit: Gradi:ng and oil-macadamizing the following Avenues and Streets in s,aid City of Arcadia: FRONT STREET from Santa Clara Street to St. Joseph Street; HAVEN AVENUE from Santa Anita Avenue to First Avenue; ORANGE AVENUE from Second Avenue to Fifth Avenue; LA PO:RTESTREET from Santa Anita Avenue to Second Avenue; ST. That if the proposition of incurring the indebtedness for . said purpose so submitted at such Election receives the requisite number of votes, to-wit, two-thirds of the votes of the qualified vote:rs of said City voting at said Election, bonds of said City of Arcadia .1n said Bum of Tuo Hundred and Twenty-five Thousand (~225,OeO.Oo) Dollars shall be issued and sold for the purpose of constructing and completing said last mentioned municipal improve- ment. Said bonds shell bear interest at a rate not to exceed six percent per annum, payable semi-annually and the principal and interest thereof sha.ll be payable in lawful money of the United States of America. BECrION 3: That for the purpose of paying the principal and interest of such bonds, the Board of Trustees of said City shall at the time of fixing the general tax levy and in the manner for sue' general tax levy provided, levy and collect annually each year until said bonds are paid, o:r until the:re shall be a sum in the Treasury of said City set apart for that purpose to meet all sums coming due for principa:~ and interest on such bonds, a tax.sufficient to pay the annual interest on said bonds and also such part of the prinCi- pal thereof as shall become due before the time for fixing the next gene:ral tax levy. Said tax shall be in addition to all other taxes levied for mlmicipal purposes and shall be collected at the swne time and in1;he same manner as other municipal taxes are collected, and be used for no other purpose than the payment of said bonds and acc:ruing inte:rest. SEC~~ION 4: That the polls fo:r said Election must be opened at 6 el' clock A.
