OHDINANCE NO.3.
AN ORDINANCE fITXING THE AMOUNT OF BONDS TO BE GIVEH I1Y
CERTAIN CITY OFFICER IS.
THE BOAJID OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF AHCADIA ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
That the Clerk and ex-Officio Assessor, the Msrshall and
ex-Officio Tax and License collector and the Treasurer of the City be
and are hereby required to enter into bonds to the City of Arcadia with
at least two sufficient sureties who must be residents of the County
of Los Angeles and owners of real estate therein which bond must be con-
ditioned for the faithful performance of their respective duties as
such officers. The penalty of each of said bonds shall be $500.00.
That the said City Officers shall submit their respective
bonds to the Board of Trustees for approval as provided by law at the
first regular meeting of the Board after their election, provided that
said Officer's who were elected on the 27th. day of July, 1903 shall
submit their bonds to the Board of Trustees for approval at the next
regular meeting of the Board after the passage of this ordinance.
This ordinance shall take effect from and after due pub-
lication or posting thereof.
The above ordinance was passed by the affirmative vote of
at least three Trustee's, and is signed and approved this 17th. day of
August, 1903.
