ORDINANCE NO. 14.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE BOAIID OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA
CALLING AN ELECTION TO BE HELD IN TIlE SAID CITY Ol~ ARCADIA ON MONDAY
THE 9TH. DAY OF APRIL, 1906 FOR THE ELECTION OF CERTAIN OFFICERS OF SAID
CITY, "APPOINTING THE OFFICERS Ol~ SUCH ELECTION; l~IXING THEIR COMPENSA-
TION; AND DESIGNATING THE POIJLING PLACE FOR THE SAlm".
Section 1. 'l'hat pursuant to the provisions of an Act of
Legislature of the State of California, dated 11arch 13th, 1883, entitled
"iln Act to provide for the organization, incorporation and government of
municipal corporations", and acts amendatory thereof, the said Board of
Trustees hereby fixed Monday, the 9th. day of April, 1906 for the holding
of, and election and an election is hereby called to be held on said day
within the corporate limits of the City of Arcadia, for the election of
the following officers of said City, to-wit:
Three members of the Board of Trustees of said City, to hold
office for the full term or period of four years (4) from and after the
16th. day of ~pril, 1906.
A City Cler~
A City Treasurer
A City Marshal
Section 2. That the School House of the said City of Arcadia
is hereby fixed as the polling place for such election.
Section 3. That the following qualified electors of said City
of Arcadia are hereby appointed election officers for such election,
to-wit:
Judges
Inspectors
Clerks
Ballot Clerks
Section 4. That the compensation of said election officers for
all services by them to be rendered as such, is the sum of Two ($2.00)
Dollars each, to be paid by warrants drawn on the City Treasury of the
City of Arcadia in the same manner that other warrants are drawn on such
Treasury.
Section 5. That the polls for such election shall be opened at

o'clock of the morning of April 9th. 1906, and shall be kept open
until
o'clock in the afternoon of the same day, when the polls
shall be closed.
Section 6. That in all other respects said election shall be
held in accordance with the general election laws of the State of
California so far as the same are applicable to municipalities of the
sixth class.
Section 7. The City Clerk of said City,of Arcadia shall cause
a notice of said election to be posted conspicuously at the polling place
hereinbefore designated at least ten days before said day fixed for the
holding of said election; which notice shall state the purpose of said
election; the officers of said City to be elected thereat; the time and
place of holding the same; and the time of opening and closing the polls.
Section 8. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
ordinance and cause a copy of the same to be posted conspicuously at
Santa Anita Postoffice, at Arcadia Postoffice, at the Arcadia School
House and at the Bonita Hotel, Arcadia.
The foregoing ordinance was adopted by the Board of Trustees of
the City of Arcadia a't a regular meeting of said Board, held on the 5th.
day of March, 1906 by the affirmative vote of at least three Trustees
to-wit:
AYES: Messrs. Baldwin, Lawrence and Unruh.
NOES: None
And signed and approved this 5th. day of March, 1906.
