ORDINANCE NO. 15.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF AHCADIA HEGULATING THE LICENSING
OF PEDDLEHS, SOLICITOHS, TRANSFEH AND DELIVEHY WAGONS.
THE BOA lID OF THUSTEES OF THE CITY OF AHCADIA DO OHDAIH AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. It shall be unlawful for any person to engage in
the conducting or carrying on, within the limits of the City of Arcadia,
as a means of livlihood or trade calling, or business of peddling or
soliciting upon the streets of said City, for the sale of goods, wares
or merchandise, without having first procured from said City, a license
so to do. Any person guilty of a breach of this license shall be deemed
guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof, shall be fined in
the sum of not less than Twenty Five Dollars nor more than $200.00 or may
be imprisoned in the City or County Jail for not less than five days nor
more than thirty days or may be punished by both such fine and imprison-
ment.
SECTION 2. The monthly rate of license to be paid by every
person referred to in Section one, shall be the sum of Ten Dollars per
month for each and every person engaged in such business.
SECTION 3. It shall be unlawful for any person to engage in
conducting or carrying on within the City limits of the City of Arcadia,
as a means of livlihood or trade calling or business of operating delivery
or transfer wagons, (except laundry, ice, butchers, vegetables, milk and
bakery wagons) upon the streets of said City for the hauling, delivery,
or transfer of any merclmndise, goods or material without first having
procured from said City a license so to do. Any person guilty of a
breach of this license shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon
conviction thereof shall be fined in the sum of not less than Ten Dollars
nor more than Fifty Dollars or may be imprisoned in the City Jailor
County Jail for not less than five days nor more than twenty days or may
be punished by both such fine and imprisonment.
SECTION 4. The monthly rate of license to be paid by every
person referred to in Section Three shall bs the sum of Five Dollars per
month for each and every person engaged in such business.

SECTION 5. It shall be the duty of the City Clerk to provide
suitable licenses to every party taking out a license in pursuance of
this ordinance.
SECTION 6. This ordinance shall be printed and posted in at
least three public places in the City of Arcadia.
Adopted by the Board of Trustees of the City of Arcadia, this
twenty fifth day of November, A. D. 1907.
