ORDINANCE NO. 20.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA
REPEALING ORDrNANCE ~!O. 19 AND PROVIDING FOR BONDS TO BE GIVEN BY CERTAIN
CITY OFFICERS.
THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF T?E CITY OF ARCADIA DO ORDAIN AS
FOLI,OWS:
SECTION l. That Ordinance No. 19 of Ordinances of the City of
Arca.dia be and the same is hereby repealed.
SECTrON 2. That the Clerk and ex-officio Assessor; that the
Marshal and ex-officio Tax Collector, that the Treasurer of the City of
Arca.dia are herehv reqnired to enter into t]onds to t.he Ci ty of Arcadia
wi th at least two sufficient sureties who must be residents of the
COllDty of Los Angeles anri owners of real estate therein, which nand must
he conditioned for the faithful performance of their respective duties
as such officers. The penal sum of each of said hands shall he as follows:
For the Clerk $500.00
For the Treasurer $1,000.00
For the Marshal $1,000.00
SECTION 3. 'rhat the said City Officers shall submit their
bonds to the Board of Trustees for approval, as provided by law, at the
first regular meeting of the Board of Trustees after the City election.
This Ordinance No. 20 shall take effect from and after the publication
or oosting thereof.
The forep;oing ordinance No. 20 Vias adopted by the Board of
Trustees of the City of Arcadia, at a meetinR of said Board held on the
fourth day of May, 1908, by the affirmative vote of at least three
tr11st.ees, to-wit:
Ayes, 'l'rustees, Unruh, Stocker an'l Tucker.
Noes, Trustees, None.
'fhe President and Trustee Lawrence not voting.
