HomeMy WebLinkAbout1815 ORDINANCE NO. 1815 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING SECTION 9233.3 AND 9233.4 OF THE ARCADIA MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO THE REZONING OF CERTAIN PROPERTY IN THE AREA BOUNDED BY BALDWIN AVENUE, ORANGE GROVE AVENUE, SANTA ANITA AVENUE AND FOOTHILL BOULEVARD TO R-O 15,000 & D, PR-O 15,000 & D & R-O 30,000 & D. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That the property located in the City of Arcadia hereinafter I described and presently classified in the R-O 15,000 First One-Family Zone, is , hereby reclassified into R-O 15,000 and D, Architectural Design, and from and after the effective date of this ordinance, said real property shall be so zoned I and subject to the restrictions imposed by the resolution adopted concurrently herewith under the provisions of the zoning regulation of said City, and the map I co~tained in Section 9233.3 of the Arcadia Municipal Code is hereby amended to rey1assify and designate the above described property as a district in Zone R-O 15;000 and D. Said property is described as follows: Beginning at a point at the intersection of the centerline line of Baldwin Avenue and the centerline of Orange Grove Avenue; thence easterly along the centerline of Orange Grove Avenue to its intersection with the centerline of Oakmeadow Road, thence southerly along the centerline of Oakmeadow Road to its intersection with the centerline of Hacienda Drive: thence westerly along the centerline of Hacienda Drive to its intersection with the centerline of San Carlos Road; thence southerly along the centerline of San Carlos Road to its intersection with the centerline of Foothill Boulevard; thence westerly along the centerline of Foothill Boulevard to its intersection with the centerline of Baldwin Avenue; thence northerly along the centerline of Baldwin Avenue to the point of beginning. SECTION 2. That the property located in the City of Arcadia hereinafter , described and presently classified in the R-O 30,000 First One-Family Zone, is hereby reclassified into R-O 30,000 and D, Architectural Design, and from and after the effective date of this ordinance, said real property shall be so zoned -1- 1815 and subject to the restrictions imposed by the resolution adopted concurrently herewith under the provisions of the zoning regulations of said City, and the map contained in Section 9233.3 and 9233.4 of the Arcadia Municipal Code is hereby amended to reclassify and designate the above described property as a district in Zone R-O 30,000 and D. Said property is described as follows: Beginning at a point at the intersection of the centerline of Oakmeadow Road and the centerline of Orange Grove Avenue, thence easterly along the centerline of Orange Grove Avenue to its intersection with the centerline of Santa Anita Avenue; thence southerly along the centerline of Santa Anita Avenue to its intersection with the easterly prolongation of the southerly property line of Lot No. 76 of Tract No. 11074; thence westerly along said easterly prolongation and said southerly property line to its intersection with the westerly property line of Lot No. 76 of Tract No. 11074; thence southerly along the prolongation of said westerly property line to its intersection with the centerline of Foothill Boulevard; thence westerly along the centerline of Foothill Boulevard to its intersection with the centerline of San Carlos Road; thence northerly along the centerline of San Carlos Road to its intersection with the centerline of Hacienda Drive; thence easterly along the centerline of Hacienda Drive to its intersection with the centerline of Oakmeadow Road; thence northerly along the centerline of Oakmeadow Road to the point of beginning. SECTION 3. That the property located in the City of Arcadia hereinafter described and presently classified in the PR-O 15,000 First One-Family and Parking Overlay Zone, is hereby reclassified into PR-O 15,000 and D, Architectural Design, and from and after the effective date of this ordinance, said real property shall be so zoned and subject to the restrictions imposed by the resolution adopted concurrently herewith under the provisions of the zoning regulation of said City, and the map contained in Section 9233.4 of the Arcadia Municipal Code is hereby amended to reclassify and designate the above described property as a district in Zone PR-O 15,000 and D. Said property is described as follows: Page 2 1815 Beginning at a point at the intersection of the centerline line of Santa Anita Avenue and the easterly prolongation of the southerly property line of Lot No. 76 of Tract No. 11074; thence westerly along said easterly prolongation and said southerly property line to its intersection with the westerly property line of Lot No. 76 of Tract No. 11074; thence southerly along the prolongation of said westerly property line a distance of 65 feet; thence easterly along a line parallel to the southerly property line of Lot 76 of Tract No. 11074 to its intersection with the centerline of Santa Anita Avenue; thence northerly along the centerline of Santa Anita Avenue a distance of 65 feet to the point of beginning. SECTION 4. The City Council finds and determines that the public health, safety, general welfare and good zoning practice require the above amendments and the restrictions imposed by said resolution. SECTION 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Ordinance and shall cause a copy hereof to be published once in the official newspaper within fifteen (15) days of the adoption hereof.
