ORDINANCE NO. 1781
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA AMENDING
SECTION 9233.10 OF THE ARCADIA MUNICIPAL CODE TO
REZONE THE PROPOERTY LOCATED AT 180 WEST HUNTINGTON
DRIVE FROM R-l TO C-O
WHEREAS, the City of Arcadia initiated a zone change
from R-l to C-O for the property at 180 West Huntington Drive.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Arcadia held a
public hearing on September 6, 1983 at which time all interested
persons were given full opportunity to be heard and to present
evidence.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Arcadia
does ordain as follows:
SECTION 1. That Section 9233.10 of the Arcadia
Municipal Code is hereby amended by amending the zoning map
contained therein so that the following legally described property
presently classified as R-l shall hereafter to classified as c-o:
180 West Huntington Drive, City of Arcadia,
Lot 5 of Tract 949 in the City of Arcadia, County
of Los Angeles, State of California as per Map
recorded in Book 17, Page 13 of Maps in the Office
of said County Recorder.
SECTION 2. We find and determine that all written
documentation presented by the Planning Department to the
City Council for the hearing on this zone,change is true and
correct; that this zone change is consistent with the General
Plan; that this zone change would allow for a more
harmonious, flexible, and desirable development of the area;
that the public convenience, necessity, general welfare, and
good zoning practice justify the proposed zone change; that
the new zoning is the highest and best use of property
consistent with present zoning classifications; and that said
zone changes will not have a significant effect on the
environment.

SECTION 3. If any section, subsection, sentence,
,
clause, phrase or portion of this ordinance is, for any
reason held to be invalid or unconstitutional by the decision
of any court of competent jurisdiction, such decision shall
not affect the validity of the remaining portions of this
ordinance. The City Council of the City or Arcadia hereby
declares that it would have adopted this ordinance and each
section, subsection, sentence, clause, phrase or portion
thereof irrespective of the fact that anyone or more
sections, subsections, sentences, clauses, phrases or
portions be declared invalid or unconstitutional,
SECTION 4, Neither the adoption of this ordinance
nor the repeal hereby of any ordinance shall in any manner
affect the prosecution for violation of ordinances, which
violations were committed prior to the effective date hereof,
nor be construed as affecting any of the provisions of such
ordinance relating to the collection of any such license or
penalty or the penal provisions applicable to any violation
thereof, nor to affect the validity of any bond or cash
deposit in lieu thereof, required to be posted, filed or
deposited pursuant to any ordinance and all rights and
obligations thereunder appertaining shall continue in full
force and effect.
SECTION 5. The Clerk of the Council shall certify
to the passage and adoption of this ordinance and shall cause
the same to be published in the official newspaper of the
City of Arcadia within fifteen (15) days after its adoption.

of Arcadia at its regular meeting held on the 5th day of
