AN OROINANCE OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA AMENOING SECTION 9233.7
OF THE ARCADIA MUNICIPAL CODE TO REZONE THE PROPERTY LOCATED
AT 15 WEST ST. JOSEPH STREET AND 300, 312 AND 318 ROLYN PLACE
FROM M-1 (PLANNED INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT) TO C-M (COMMERCIAL-
MANUFACTURING ZONE)
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Arcadia held a public hearing on
February 21, 1984 on the rezoning of 15 West St. Joseph Street and 300, 312 and
318 Rolyn Place from M-l to CoM,
WHEREAS, all interested persons were given full opportunity to be heard and
to present evidence,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA does ordain as
follows:
Section 1. That Section 9=233.7 of the Arcadia Municipal Code is hereby
amended by amending the zoning map contained therein so that the following
legally described prop~rty presently classified as M-I (Planned Industrial
District) shall hereafter be classified as C-M (Commercial-Manufacturing Zone):
15 West St. Joseph Street and 300, 312 and 318 Rolyn Place,
City of Arcadia.
Lots 2, 3 and 4, Tract 24181, in the City of Arcadia, County
of Los Angeles, State of California, as per Map recorded in
Book 643, Pages 43 and 44 of Maps in the Office of said
County Recorder.
Part of Lot 2, Tract 949, in the City of Arcadia, County of
Los Angeles, State of California, as per Map recorded in Book
17, Page 13, of Maps in the Office of said County Recorder.
Section 2. We find and determine that all written documentation presented
by the Planning Department to the City Council for the hearing on this zone
change is true and correct; that this zone change is consistent with the General
Plan; that this zone change would allow for a ;nur~ harmonious, flexible and
desirable development of the area; that the public convenience, necessity,
general welfare, and good zoning practice justify the proposed zone change; that
the new zoning is the highest and best use of property consistent with present

zoning classifications; and that said zone changes will not have a significant
effect on the environment.
Section 3. I.f any section, subsection, sentence, clause, phrase or portion
of this ordinance is, for any reason, held to be invalid or unconstitutional by
the decision of any court of competent jurisdiction, such decision shall not
affect the validity of the remaining portions of this ordinance. The City
Council of the City of Arcadia hereby declares that it would have adopted this
ordinance and each section, subsection, sentence, clause, phrase or portion
thereof irrespective of the fact that anyone or more sections, subsections,
sentences, clauses, phrases or portions be declared invalid or unconstitutional.
, Section 4. The Clerk of the Council shall certify to the passage and
adoption of this ordinance and shall cause the same to be published in the
official newspaper of the City of Arcadia within fifteen (15) days after its
adopt i on.
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Arcadia at its regular
meeting held on the 21stdayof March, 1984.:
