ORDINANCE NO. 1726
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA AMENDING
SECTION 9233.19 OF THE ARCADIA MUNICIPAL CODE
TO REZONE THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT 536 LAS TUNAS
DRIVE FROM PR-3 & D TO PR-l.
WHEREAS, the City of Arcadia initiated a zone change from
PR-3 & D to PR-l for the property at 536 Las Tunas Drive.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Arcadia held a public
hearing on May 19, 1981 at which time all interested persons were
given full opportunity to be heard and to present evidence.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Arcadia does
ordain as follows:
SECTION 1. That Section 9233.l9 of the Arcadia Municipal Code
is hereby amended by amending the zoning map contained therein so that
the following legally described property presently classified as
PR-3 & D shall hereafter be classified as PR-l:
Lot 27 and the northerly 41 feet of Lot 38, Tract
No. 6641, in the City of Arcadia, County of
Los Angeles, State of California, as per Map in
Map Book l26, Page 67, filed in the County
Recorder's office.
SECTION 2. We find and determine that all written documentation
presented by the Planning Department to the City Council for the hear-
ing on this zone change is true and correct1 that this zone change is
consistent with the General Plan; that this zone change ~ould allow
for a more harmonious, flexible, and desirable development of the area;
that the public convenience, necessity, general welfare, and good
zoning practice justify the proposed zone change; that the new zoning

is the highest and best use of property consistent with present zoning
classifications; and that said zone changes will not have a significant
effect on the environment.
SECTION 3. If any section, subsection, sentence, clause, phrase or portion of
this ordinance is, for any reason, held to be invalid or unconstitutional by the
decision of any court of competent jurisdiction, such decision shall not affect ~he
validity of the remaining portions of this ordinance. The City Council of the City
of Arcadia hereby declares that it would have adopted this ordinance and each section,
subsection, sentence, clause, phrase or portion thereof irrespective of the fact that
anyone or more sections, subsections, sentences, clauses, phrases or portions be
declared invalid or 'unconstitutional.
SECTION 4. Neither the adoption of this ordinance nor the repeal hereby of any
ordinance shall in any manner affect the prosecution for violation of ordinances,
which violations were committed prior to the effective date hereof, nor be construed
as affecting any of the provisions of such ordinance relating to the collection of any
such license or penalty or the penal provisions applicable to any violation thereof,
nor to affect the validity of any bond or cash deposit in lieu thereof, required to be
posted, filed or deposited pursuant to any ordinance and all rights and obligations
thereunder appertaining shall continue in full force and effect.
SECTION 5. The Clerk of the Counc 11 shall certify to the passage and adoption
of this ordinance and shall cause the same to be published in the official newspaper
of the City of Arcadia within fifteen (15) days after its adoption.
