HomeMy WebLinkAbout1529 ORDINANCE NO. 1529 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA DELETING THE PROHIBITION OF "PIN GAMES," "MARBLE GAMES" AND RELATED AMUSEMENT GAMES. WHEREAS, the California Supreme Court, in the case of Cossack v. City of Los Angeles, 11 C. 3d 726, has determined that ordinances prohibiting pin games, marble games and related amusement games by cities are unconstitutional on several grounds; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Titles 1 and 2 of Division 5, Part 1, Chapter 2, Article IV, including Sections 4215.1 through 4215.2.4 contained therein, are hereby deleted. SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this ordinance.
