Ire I.s-t.. AN ORDINAnCE OF THE BOAPj) OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF AR- CADmA DECLARING ITS INTEli!TION TO ORDER THE WIDENING OF FIRST AVENUE IN SAID CITY OF ARCADIA BETTIEEN ST. JOSEPH STREET AND UEITE OAK, AVENUE, ALSO COLrr.:ONLY rmor:N AS FOOTHILL BOULEVARD. THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1: That the public interest and convenience r e- quire and that it is hereby found and determined that the public interest, convenience and necessity require and that it is the intention of the Board of TFustees of said City of Arcadia to order the following improvement to be made, to-wit: That First Avenue, a public street in said City of Arcadia, be widened between St. Joseph Street and White Oak Avenue, also commonly known as Foothill Boulevard. SECTION 2: That the lands necessary and convenient to be taken f~r the improvement described in,Section 1 hereof, are sit- uate in the City of Arcadia, County of Los Angeles, State of California, and are more particularly described as follo~s, to-wit: First: A strip of land or the uniform width of ten (10) feet, lying Easterly of, along and adjoining the Easterly line of said First Avenue, between the limits hereinabove specified; Second: A strip of land or the uniform width of ten (10) feet, lying Westerly of, along and adjoining the ~esterly line of said First Avenue, between the limits hereinabove specified. EXCEPTING THEREFROli, so much of the lands hereinabove ' described, which may be included within the limits or any public street or alley. SECTION 5: The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Ordinance and shall cause the same to be published once in the Arcadia Journal and The Arcadian, a semi-weekly newspaper published and circulated in said City of Arcadia and hereby desig- nated for that purpose and thereupon and thereafter the same shall take effect and be in force. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted at a regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the City of Arcadia, held on the 20th. day of May, 1925, by the affirmative vote of at least three Trustees, to-wit: AYES: Trustees: Gramm, Grauville, Hawk, Multer and Wheele~ NOES: None.
