Nt. ~D ~O 21 22 23 24 215 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 ORDINANCE NO. 161. ;vo / b I AN ORDINANCE OF THE BJARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA DECLARING ALL PORTIONS OF ANY PUBLIC STREET, ROAP.! DRIVE, OR AVENUE IN SAID CITY OF ARCADIA, IMPROVED WITH AN OIL MACADAM PAVEMENT, WITH THE EXCEPTION OF A PORTION OF SANTA ANITA AVENUE, WHITE OAK AVENUE, (ALSO aOUMONLY KNOWN AS FOOTHILL BOULEVARD), HUNTINGTON DRIVE, DUARTE ROAD AND BALDWIN AVENUE, TO BE OPEN, PUB- LIO BOULEVARDS AND PROHIBITING HEAVY TRAFFIO THEREON. THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1: That all Public Streets, Roads, Drives or Avenues or parts of Public Streets, Roads, Drives or Avenues in said Oity of Arcadia improved with an oil macadam pavement, with the exception of the Westerly side of Santa Anita Avenue from Whit Oak Avenue, (also commonly known as Foothill Boulevard) to Grand View Avenue, White Oak Avenue, (also known as Foothill Boulevard), Huntington Drive, Duarte Road and Baldwin Avenue, be and the same are hereby declared to be and are hereby dedicated as open, public bouleV'cl.rds, along and upon which it shall be unlawful for any perr , son, firm or corporation to drive or cause to be driven any truck, ,0 dray, wagon, oil wagon, tank wagon, cart or other vehmcle employed in carrying any rock, sand, earth, gravel, oil, coal, wood, manure lumber, brick or other building materials, provided however, tha't this Ordinance shall not apply to the use of such Boulevards by vehicles carrying any of the articles or materials hereinabove specified to and from the premises fronting on said Boulevards to the nearest intersecting Streets or Avenues with such Boulevards. SECTION 2: That any person, firm or corporation violat- ing any of the provisions of this Ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be punishable by a fine not exceeding $300.00 or by imprisonment in the City Jail of said City of Aroadia for a period not exceeding three months or by both such fine and imprisonment. SECTION 4: The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption ,', ,bi 'iii1s Ordinance and shall cause the same to be published once in The' Aroadia Journal and The Arcadian, a semi-weekly newspaper - ' , pUb~ished and circulated in said City of Arcadia, and thereupon ,and thereafter the same shall take effect and be in force. l-. .,; < " .'
