ORDINANCE NO. 1474
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ARCADIA RECLASSIFYING CERTAIN
PROPERTY ON NAOMI AND CAMINO REAL WEST OF
BALDWIN AND ON BALDWIN BETWEEN CAMINO REAL
AND CALLITA.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA DOES ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That' the zoning map set forth in Section
9233.12 of the Arcadia Municipal Code is hereby amended so that
the hereinafter described property presently classified C-2 shall
hereafter be classified as R-3. Said property is described as
follows:
(Area l-A) That property known as 756-818 Naomi
Avenue, more particularly described as follows:
Those portions of Lots 5 and 6, Block A of
Santa Anita Land Company's Tract as shown on
map recorded in Book 6, page 137 of Maps in
the office of the Recorder of Los Angeles
County, described as follows: Beginning at
the intersection of the southerly line of
Naomi Avenue (55 feet wide) and the easterly
line of Golden West Avenue (60 feet wide);
thence easterly 762 feet along said southerly
line; thence southerly 305 feet parallel with
said easterly line; thence westerly parallel
with above mentioned southerly line to the
easterly line of Golden West Avenue; thence
northerly along said easterly line to the
point of beginning, EXCEPT the westerly
381 feet thereof.
SECTION 2. That th~ zoning map set forth in Section
9233,12 of the Arcadia Municipal Code is hereby amended so that
the hereinafter described property presently classified C-2 shall
hereafter be classified as R-3, Said property is described as
follows:
(Area 2) Parcell, That property known as
713-733 Naomi Avenue, more particularly
described as follows:
That portion of Lot 8, Blopk A of Santa Anita
Land Company's Tract as shown on. map recorded

in Book 6, page 137 of Maps in the office of
the Recorder of Los Angeles County, described
as follows: Beginning on the north line of
Camino Real Avenue 211,35 feet easterly of the
southwest corner of said lot; thence continuing
easterly along said north line 308.79 feet;
thence northerly 176.1 feet parallel with the
westerly line of said lot; thence westerly
308,79 feet parallel with the southerly line
of said lot; thence southerly in a direct line
to the point of beginning, EXCEPT the easterly
80 feet thereof, and
Parcel 2. That property known as 741-803

Those portions of Lots 7 and 8, Block A of
Santa Anita Land Company's Tract as shown
on map recorded in Book 6, page 137 of Maps
in the office of the Recorder of Los Angeles
County described as follows: Beginning on
the north line of Camino Real Avenue 66 feet
westerly of the southeast corner of Lot 7 of
said tract; thence northerly 300 feet parallel
with the easterly line of said lot to the
northerly line thereof; thence easterly 166
feet along the northerly line of Lots 7 and 8;
thence southerly 123.9 feet parallel with the
westerly line of said Lot 8; thence easterly
111.35 feet parallel with said northerly line;
thence southerly 176.1 feet parallel with said
westerly line to the northerly line of Camino
Real Avenue; thence westerly 277.35 feet along
last said northerly line to the point of
beginning.
SECTION 3. That the zoning map set forth in Section
9233.12 of the Arcadia Municipal Code is hereby amended so that
the hereinafter described property presently classified C-2 shall
hereafter be classified as C-O. Said property is described as
follows:
(Area 2-A) That property known as 711
Camino' Real Avenue, more particularly
described as follows:
The easterly 80 feet of Area 2, Parcell,
above,
SECTION 4. That the zoning map set forth in Section
9233.16 of the Arcadia Municipal Code is hereby amended so that
the hereinafter described property presently classified R-2 shall

hereafter be classified as R-3. Said property is described as
follows:
(Area 3) That property known as 720-734
Camino Real Avenue, more particularly
described as follows:
That portion of Lot 1, Block G of Santa
Anita Land Company's Tract as shown on map
recorded in Book 6, page 137 of Maps in the
office of the Recorder of Los Angeles County
described as follows: Beginning at the
northwesterly corner of said lot; thence
easterly along the northerly line thereof
396 feet; thence southerly parallel with the
westerly lot line 300 feet to the southerly
lot line; thence westerly along said southerly
lot line to the westerly lot line; thence
northerly along last said line to the point
of beginning, EXCEPT the westerly 182 feet
thereof known as 738 to 750 West Camino Real
Avenue.
SECTION 5. That the zoning map set forth in Section
9233.16 of the Arcadia Municipal Code is hereby amended so that
the hereinafter described property presently classified R-l shall
hereafter be classified as R-3. Said property is described as
follows:
(Area 4) That property known as 716 Camino
Real Avenue and 1529-1609 Baldwin Avenue,
more particularly described as follows:
Those portions of Lots land 4 of Block G of
Santa Anita Land Company's Tract as shown on
map recorded in Book 6, page 137 of Maps in
the Office of the recorder of Los Angeles
County, described as follows: Beginning at
the intersection of the northerly line of said
Lot 1 and a line parallel with and distant
easterly 396 feet from the westerly line of
said lot; thence easterly.~e~long said
northerly line; thence south1rly parallel with
said westerly line 160 feet; thence easterly
parallel with said northerly line 140 feet
to the westerly line of Baldwin Avenue 92 feet
wide; thence southerly along last said westerly
line 334.64 feet; thence westerly parallel with
said northerly lot line 460,30 feet; thence
northerly parallel with said westerly line to
the northerly line of said Lot 4; thence
easterly along last said lot line 246.30 feet;
thence northerly parallel with said westerly
lot line 300 feet to the point of beginning.

SECTION 6. That the zoning map set forth in Section
9233.16 of the Arcadia Municipal Code is hereby amended so that
the hereinafter described property presently classified R-l shall
hereafter be classified as C-2. Said property is described as
follows:
(Area 5) That property known as 710 Camino
Real Avenue and 1505 Baldwin Avenue, more
particularly described as follows:
That portion of Lot 1, Block q of Santa
Anita Land Company's Tract, as shown on map
recorded in Book 6, page 137 of Maps in the
office of the recorder of Los Angeles County
described as follows: Beginning at the
intersection of the southerly line of Camino
Real Avenue (60 feet wide) and the westerly
line of Baldwin Avenue (92 feet wide); thence
southerly along said westerly line 160 feet;
thence westerly parallel with said southerly
line 140 feet; thence northerly parallel with
sa~d westerly line 160 feet; thence easterly
along said westerly line 140 feet to the
point of beginning.
SECTION 7. That the City Council hereby finds that the
public convenience, general welfare and good zoning practice justify
the above amendments.
SECTION 8. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this ordinance.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing ordinance was adopted
at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Arcadia
held on the 1st day of May
