A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF TF-IE CITY OF
ARCADIA, CAI,IFORNIA, RECITING THE FACT OF THE
GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION HELD IN SAID CITY
ON APRII.. 11, 2006, DECLARING TI~ RESULT TI~REOF
PURSUANT .. TO , THE PROVISIONS OF THE CITY
CHARTER

WHEREAS, a General Municipal Elecrion was held and conducted in the :
City of Arcadia, County.. of Los: Angeles, State of Califomia, on Tuesday, April. l l,
2006, as required by the City Charter; and ,
`~ WHEREAS, notice of the election was given in time, form and mariner as
provided by law; that voting precincts were properly established; that election
officers were appointed and that in all respects the election was held and conducted
and the votes were cast, received and canvassed and the returns made and declared
in rime, form and manner as required by the provisions of tlie Elecrions Code~ of
`the State of California for the holding of elections in ciries; and -
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 6503, adopted December 6,
2005, the City Cleik of the City of Arcadia canvassed' the retums of said election
~ and has certified the results to this `City Council, said results having been received, .
attached and made a part hereof as "Exhibit A". .
` NOW, THEREFORE, TI~ .CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY FIND, DETERIVIINE AND
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1. That there were eleven (11} voting precincts far the
purpose of holding said election in the City of Arcadia.
SECTION 2. That said regular general municipal election was held
for the purpose of electing the following officers of said City as required by the
City Charter:
THREE (3) Members of the City Council for the full term of four (4)
years.
SECTION 3. That the names of the persons voted for at said
elecrion for Member of the City Council - four year term, are as follows:
PETER AMUNDSON
PAMELA BLACKWOOD
SHENG CHANG
ROBERT HARBICHT
SHO TAY
S. H. WEN
JOHN WUO
That the measures voted upon at the election is follows:
MEASURE A
SECTION 4. That the number of votes given at each precinct in the
City to each of the persons above named for the respective offices for which said
persons were candidates are listed on Exhibit "A" attached.
SECTION 5. T'he City Council of the City of Arcadia does hereby
declare and determine that:

Peter Amundson was elected as Member of the City Council for the full
term of four (4) years; Robert Harbicht was elected as Member of the City Council
for the full term of four (4) years; John Wuo was elected as Member of the City
Council for the full term of four (4) years.
That as a result of the elecrion, a majority of the voters voting on the
measure relating to Santa Anita Grade Separation (Measure A) did vote in fa~or of
it, and that the measure was carried, and shall be deemed adopted and ratified.
SECTION 6. The City Clerk shall enter on the records of the City
Council a statement of the results of the election, showing:
The number of votes given at each precinct and the number of votes given
in the City to each of such persons above named for the respective offices for'
which said persons were candidates and the total number of votes given at each
precinct for and against said measure.
SECTION 7. That the City Clerk shall immediately make and
deliver to each of the persons so elected a Certificate of Election signed by the City
Clerk and authenricated; the City Clerk shall also administer to each person elected
the Oath of Office prescribed in the Consriturion of the State of Califomia and
shall have them subscribe to it and file it in the Office of the City Clerk. Each and
all of the persons so elected shall then be inducted into the respective office to
which they have been elected.

SECTION S. That the City Clerk shall certify to the adoprion of
this Resolution.
Passed, approved and adopted this iath day of April, 2006.
