ORDINANCE NO. 1410
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF ARCADIA AMENDING SECTIONS
9113.1.2, 9113.1.3, 9122, 9122.1, AND
9276.2.11, REPEALING SECTION 9263.1.29,
ADDING SECTION 9275.1.52.3, RENUMBERING
SECTIONS 9112.4 TiROUGH 9112.7, AND ADDING
SECTION 9112.4 RELATING TO ZONING AND
SUBDIVISION REGULATIONS.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA DOES ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That Section 9113.1.2 of the Arcadia Municipal
Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
9113.1.2. FILING FEE. For each subdivision, a fee of
Fifty-five dollars ($55.00) plus Five dollars ($5.00) for each lot
shall be paid at the time of filing the tentative map.
That Section 9113.1.3 of the Arcadia Municipal Code is
hereby amended to read as follows:
9113.1.3. NOTICES. Upon the filing of a tentative map
pursuant to this Part, the Secretary of the Planning Commission
shall fix a time and place for a public hearing thereon, to be held
not less than ten (10) days nor more than forty (40) days after
such filing. Not less than ten (10) days before the date of any
such public hearing, notice thereof shall be given by mailing,
postage prepaid to the owners, as shown on the last available equal-
ized assessment roll, of property within three hundred (300) feet
of all lots any portion of which is included within the boundaries of
the proposed subdivision. Such notice shall set forth the filing
of the tentative subdivision map, the location of the property
includedfuerein, and the time and place of the public hearing thereon
by and before the City Planning Commission.

That Section 9122 of the Arcadia Municipal Code is hereby
amended to read as follows:
9122. PROCEDURE. Any person desiring a single lot, as
hereinbefore defined, to be divided into less than five (5) parcels,
shall first file with the Planning Secretary not less than four
(4) copies of a scale drawing showing the size and location of such
lot, the relative location of existing improvements thereon, and
the proposed division thereof. Upon such filing, the Secretary of
the Planning Commission shall fix a time and place for a public
hearing thereon, to be held not less than ten (10) days nor more
than forty (40) days after such filing. Not less than ten (10) days
before the date of any such public hearing, notice thereof shall be
given by mailing, postage prepaid to the owners, as shown on the last
available equalized assessment role, of property within three hundred
(300) feet of the property involved in the lot division, notice
specifying the filing of the request, the location of the property
involved therein, and the time and place of the hearing. The Plan-
ning Commission shall cause each such application to be investigated
and shall receive all pertinent evidence relative thereto presented
at a regular meeting of said Commission, and shall thereupon, by the
vote of a majority of its members entered in the Commission's minutes,
disapprove such proposed division of lots, or shall indicate its
intention to approve such division of single lots, either as submitted
by applicant or as modified by the Commission and shall specify the
conditions upon which the requested lot division or modified lot
division will be approved. No action of the Commission upon any
application pursuant to this Section shall be effective until
expiration of the time specified in Section 9122.5.1 for appeal
therefrom or for review thereof, or while any such appeal or review
is pending or being conducted.

That Section 9122.1 of the Arcadia Municipal Code is hereby
amended to read as follows:
9122.1. FILING FEE. For each lot split, a fee of Fifty-
five dollars ($55.00) plus Five dollars ($5.00) for each lot in
excess of two (2) shall be paid at the time of filing the application.
That Section 9276.2.11 of the Arcadia Municipal Code is
hereby amended to read as follows:
9276.2.11. REQUIRED PARKING. Off-street parking spaces
shall be provided in the amount and at the location as required in
the underlying zone, provided that in commercial buildings, off-
street parking spaces shall be provided at the ratio of one space
for each three hundred (300) feet of gross floor area, excluding
any area designed for off-street parking.
SECTION 2. That Section 9263.1.29 of the Arcadia Municipal
Code is hereby repealed.
SECTION 3. That Section 9275.1.52.3 of the Arcadia
Municipal Code is hereby added to read as follows:
9275.1.52.3. NURSERIES, PLANTS. Plant nurseries in a
C-2 or any less restrictive commercial or industrial zone.
SECTION 4. That Section 9112.4 through 9112.7 of the
Arcadia Municipal Code is hereby renumbered 9112.5 through 9112.8
and a new Section 9112.4 is hereby added to read as follows:
9112.4. R-l ZONE 12,500. Every lot hereafter created,
established or altered in Zone R-l within the two (2) areas here-
after described shall contain a minimum lot area of twelve thousand
five hundred (12,500) square feet, and a minimum lot width of
seventy-five (75) feet at the front building line and a minimum
lot depth of one hundred (100) feet:

(1) Bounded by Palm Drive on the north, El Monte Avenue
on the east, Las Tunas Drive on the south, and Holly Avenue on the
west.
(2) Bounded by the northerly property line of Tract No.
7122 on the north, Highland Oaks Drive on the east, the southerly
property line of lots 4 & 14 of Block No.1, and Lots 4 & 15 of
Block No.2 of Tract No. 4129 on the scuth, and Santa Anita Avenue
on the west.
SECTION 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this ordinance.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing ordinance was adopted
at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Arcadia
held on the 5th day of May
, 1970, by the affirmative vote
of at least three Councilmen, to wit:
