MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING AND AGREEMENT
The Director of Personnel , representing the Arcadia City Council , and the American
Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees, A.F.L.-C. I .O. Local 606-C, an
employee organization representing certain classifications hereinafter designated,
have been meeting and confering on wages, hours and other terms and conditions of
employment as provided for under the Meyers-Milias-Brown Act. As a result of said
conferences, the following modifications are recommended to the overall compensa-
tion plan now in force to be effective July 1, 1975, through June 30, 1977 :
1. This non-binding memorandum is an agreed upon recommendation of the afore-
mentioned representatives to be presented to the City Council , City of
Arcadia, for determination by resolution.
2. The following classifications are covered by this Agreement:
Maintenance Man General Repairman
Public Works Foreman Sweeper Operator
Equipment Operator Traffic Painter
Pumping Plant Operator Service Man
Water Foreman Pump Mechanic
Store Keeper Equipment Mechanic
3. As of July 1, 1975, there shall be an across-the-board salary increase
for all classifications herein designated of 7.5 percent.
4. As of July 1, 1975, the City of Arcadia shall increase its contribution
for dependent medical insurance by $10.00 per month for all classifications
herein designated. The aforementioned $10.00 shall be added to each class-
ification salary step schedule.
5. As of January 1, 1976, there shall be an across-the-board salary increase
for all classifications herein designated of 3.0 percent.
6. As of July 1, 1976, there shall be an across-the-board salary increase
for all classifications herein designated of 4.5 percent.
7. As of July 1, 1977, there shall be an across-the-board salary increase
for all classifications herein designated of 3.5 percent. Also, the class-
ifications of Maintenance Man and Service Man shall receive an additional
2 of 1 percent increase in their classification salary step schedule.
8. Effective July 1, 1975, the City of Arcadia shall provide a dental insur-
ance plan. The insurance premium for the employee-only coverage portion
of the dental plan shall be paid for by the City. The dental plan shall
provide for dependent coverage at the option of the employee, the cost of
which will be paid by the employee.
9. Increased insurance premium cost of the employee-only portion of the City's
Major Medical and Disability Income Insurance Plans shall be paid for by
the City.

10. The holiday schedule shall be increased by adding the day after Thanks-
giving.
