MINUTES ARCADIA CITY PLANNING COMMISSION REGULAR MEETING Tuesday, July 10, 1990 The Planning Commission of the City of Arcadia met in regular session on Tuesday, July 10, 1990 at 7:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers of the Arcadia City Hall, 240 West Huntington Drive, with Chairman Larry Papay presiding. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE ROLL CALL: PRESENT: Commissioners Amato, Clark, Hedlund, Szany, Papay ABSENT: None MINUTES MOTION It was moved by Commissioner Clark, seconded by Commissioner Amato to approve the Minutes of June 26, 1990 as published. The motion passed by voice vote with none dissenting. MOTION It was moved by Commissioner Clark, seconded by Commissioner Amato to read all resolutions by title only and waive reading the full body of the resolution. The motion passed by voice vote with none dissenting. ELECTION OF OFFICERS Chairman Papay asked if there were any nominations for Chairman. MOTION It was moved by Commissioner Amato, seconded by Commissioner Clark to nominate Commissioner Papay as Chairman. ROLL CALL: AYES: Commissioners Amato, Clark, Hedlund, Szany, Papay NOES: None Chairman Papay asked if there were any nominations for Chairman ProTem. MOTION It was moved by Commissioner Hedlund, seconded by Commissioner Amato to nominate Commissioner Clark as Chairman ProTem. ROLL CALL: AYES: Commissioners Amato, Clark, Hedlund, Szany, Papay NOES: None OTHERS ATTENDING: Councilman Joseph Ciraulo City Attorney Michael Miller Senior Planner Donna Butler Associate Planner Corkran Nicholson Secretary Silva Vergel PUBLIC HEARING TM 49680 30 -36 Diamond Mimi Wei Lin Consideration of a tentative map for an 8 -unit residential condominium project. The staff report was presented and the public hearing was opened. Engles Shen, 600 W. Main, Alhambra, representing the owner said that with the exception of condiiton 5, they are in agreement with all of the conditions in the staff report. If they were able to relocate the tree it would give them more flexibility for the driveway. Staff explained this is a requirement subject to the approval of the Public Works Director and usually they are flexible. In response to a question by Commissioner Hedlund, staff said that there is a 10% required driveway slope transition. No one else spoke in favor of or in opposition to this item. MOTION It was moved by Commissioner Clark, seconded by Commissioner Amato to close the public hearing. The motion passed by voice vote with none dissenting. The consensus of the Commission was favorable. MOTION It was moved by Commissioner Clark, seconded by Commissioner Amato to approve TM 49680 subject to the conditions in the staff report. AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION None Arcadia City Planning Commission 7/10/90 Page 2 RESOLUTION 1439 RESOLUTION 1440 Ms. Butler read the title of the resolution. A resolution granting CUP 90 -008 for an automotive garage at 10 -16 W. Live Oak Avenue. A resolution granting CUP 90 -009 for the expansion of an existing restaurant at 506 E. Live Oak Avenue. MOTION It was moved by Commissioner Amato, seconded by Commissioner Szany to adopt Resolution 1439 and 1440 and to formally affirm the decisions of June 26, 1990, reflecting the findings of the Commission and the votes thereon. ROLL CALL: AYES: Commissioners Amato, Clark, Hedlund, Szany, Papay NOES: None Chairman Papay noted that there is a five working day appeal period.
