1 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA
AMENDING SECTION 2 OF ORDINANCE NO. 229 OF SAID CITY OF ARCADIA.

3 FOLLOWI1:
4 SECTION 1: That Section 2 of Ordinance No. 229 of said
THE CITY COUNC IL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA DO ORDAIN AS
5 City of Arcadia, entitled: DAn Ordinanoe of the City Counoil of
6 the City of Arcadia providing a prooedure for fixing and establish
7 ing setback lines on private pDoperty bordering on the whole or
8 part of any street, avenue or highway; prohibiting the ereotion
9 of buildings or other structures between suoh setback linssand
10 the lines of ~y suoh street, avenue or other highway and providin
11 a penalty for the violation of any of the provisions of this Or-
12 dinancen, adopted August 21, 1929, be and the same is hereby amend
13 to read as follows:

SECTION 2: Before fixing and establishing any such
15 setback lines as m.T.~.am~ authorized in this Ordinance, said
16 City Council shall pass a Resolution of Intention, referring to th
17 Street, Avenueor other highway by its lawful or official name or
18 the name by which it is commonly known. Said Reslution of Intenti n
19 shall briefly describe such proposed setback line and shall contai
20 also a notice of the day, hour and place whsn and where any and
21 all persons having any objeotions to the fixing and establishing
22 of such setback lines may appear before said City Council and show
23 cause why said proposed setback line should not be fixed and es-
24 tablished in accordance with said Resolution; such time shall be
25 not less than fifteen days nor more than oforty days from the date
26 of the passage of said Resolution. The City Council shall cause
27 said Resolution to be published once in any newspaper of general
28 circulation, published and circulated in said City of Arcadia.

31 of streets, avenues or other highways in said City of Arcadia.

SECTION" 2: The City Clerk shall certify to the
pdoption of this Ordinance and shall cause the same to be published
once in The Arcadia News, a weekly newspaper published and circU-
lated in said City of Arcadia and thirty days from and after the
final passage thereof," the same shall take "effect and be in force.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted at a reguillar
meeting of the "City Council of the City of Arqadia, held on the
7th. day of May, 1930, by the affirmative vote of at least three
Councilmen, to-wit:
