AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA
PRESCRIBING ADDITIONAL DUTIES OF POLICEMEN AND FIREMEN OF SAID .
CITY OF ARCADIA.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA DO ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:

SECTDDN 1: That in addition to the performance of the'
regular and ordinary duties required of Policemen and Firemen of
said City of Arcadia, it shall be the duty of all Policemen and
Firemen of said City of Arcadia, at all times and under all cir-
cumstances, to go to the aid of all persons or animals in dis-
tress or danger and render said persons or animals such help and
assistance as lies within their power.
SECTION 2: That if any Policeman or Fireman of said
City of Arcadia shall be injured while rendering such additional
services as aforesaid, he shall be deemed to be injured in the
course of his employment and shall be entitled to Workmen's Com-
pensation therefor, as provided by law.
SECTION 3: The City Clerk shall certify to the adop-
tion of this Ordinance and shall cause the seme to be published
once in The Arcadia News, a weekly newspaper published and cir-

the final passage thereof, the same shall take effect and be in ,

culated in said City of Arcadia and thirty days from and after
force.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted at a regular meet-:

ing of the City Council of the City of Arcadia, held on the 15th~

AYES: Councilmen: Bolz, Bottema, Link, Seaman and Walshe.

Councilmen, to-wit:
