TO THE ARCADIA MUNICIPAL CO RELATING TO SALE AND POSSESSION OF AEROSO SPRAY PAINT AND DYE CONTAINERS BY ANY BU INESS OR ESTABLISHMENT OFFERING SAID CONTAIN S FOR SALE TO THE PUBLIC WHEREAS, the proliferation of graffiti City of Arcadia and the San Gabriel Valle\')s great burden on the resources of the community in te~~ o)lc of clean-up materials and labor to remove evidence o~r~t' from public rights-of-way, public vehicle traffic contro~ ~gna as well as private property; and () WHEREAS, it is imp~~e hat reasonable steps be taken to restrict the ease by ~~ supervised juveniles may acquire and use aerosol spray ~t~ dye containers for graffiti and related purposes; and \ ' NOW, THEREFORE, HE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, DOES AND ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECT~ 1. hat the Arcadia Municipal Code is hereby amended by ad~9CJ C pter 9.4 to Article IV to read as follows: ~ CHAPTER 9.4 ~, STORAGE AND SALE OF AEROSOL SPRAY PAINT SALE AND POSSESSION OF AEROSOL SPRAY PAINT CANS - a. It shall be unlawful for any person to sell, exchange, give, or loan, or cause or permit to be sold, exchanged, given, or loaned, any pressurized can or other container commonly known as 1 1939 an aerosol spray paint can or container which contains paint or for a to anyone under the age of eighteen (18) years.
