HomeMy WebLinkAbout1918 ORDINANCE NO. 1918 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA APPROVING ZONE CHANGE Z-89-004, CHANGING THE EXISTING ZONE OF R-O & 0 15,000 TO R-O & D 22,000 FOR THE LOTS WITHIN THE SANTA ANITA OAKS HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION AREA CURRENTLY ZONED R-O & 0 15,000, BORDERED ON THE NORTH BY ORANGE GROVE AVENUE, ON THE EAST BY OAKMEADOW ROAD, HACIENDA DRIVE AND SAN CARLOS ROAD, ON THE SOUTH BY FOOTHILL BOULEVARD AND ON THE WEST BY BALDWIN A VENUE WHEREAS, zone change Z-89-004 was initiated by the City to rezone the R-O & 0 zoned property bordered on the north by Orange Grove Avenue, on the east by Oakmeadow Road, Hacienda Drive and San Carlos Road, on the south by Foothill Boulevard and on the west by Baldwin Avenue from R-O & 015,000 to R-O & 0 22,000. WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on November 14, 1989, before the Planning Commission at which time all interested persons were given full oppor- tunity to be heard and to present evidence, and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Arcadia recommended approval of subject zone change to the City Council, and WHEREAS, the City Council conducted a public hearing concerning the zone change on December 5, 1989 and approved said zone change. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That the subject properties currently zoned R-O & 0 15,000 listed on attached Exhibit A and bordered on the north by Orange Grove Avenue, on the east by Oakmeadow Road, Hacienda Drive and San Carlos Road, on the south by Foothill Boulevard and on the west by Baldwin Avenue, are hereby reclassified into R-O & 022,000, and from and after the effective date of this ordinance, said real properties shall be so zoned subject to the restrictions imposed by the provisions of the zoning regulations of said City. The Maps contained in Section 9233.3 and 9233.4 of the Arcadia Municipal Code are hereby amended to reclassify and designate the described properties as a district in Zone R-O & 0 22,000. Section 2. The City Council finds and determines that the requested zone change is consistent with the general plan designation of single-family residential -1- 1918 0-4 du/ac and that the public health, safety, general welfare and good zoning practice require the above amendment. Section 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Ordinance and shall cause a copy of the same to be published in the official newspaper of said City within fifteen (IS) days after its adoption.
