ORDINANCE 1857
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CIn OF ARCADIA REZONING THE
PROPERTY LOCATED AT 260 WEST HUNTINGTON DRIVE FROM
R-I (SINGLE-FAMILY RESIDENTIAL) TO S-2 (PUBLIC PURPOSE)
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That tlle property located at 260 West Huntington Drive
in tlle City of Arcadia hereinafter described and presently classified R-I,
Single-Family Residential, is hereby reclassified into S-2 Public Purpose and
from and after tlle effective date of tllis ordinance, said real property shall
be so zoned and subject to tlle restrictions imposed by tlle provisions of tlle
zoning regulations of said City, and tlle map contained in Section 9233-10 of
tlle Arcadia Municipal Code is hereby amended to reclassify and designate
tlle described property as a district in Zone S-2. Said property is described
as follows:
That portion of Lot 5 of Tract No. 949 in tlle City of Arcadia, County of
Los Angeles, State of California as per map recorded in Book 17, Page
13 of Maps, in tlle office of tlle county Recorder of said County
described as follows:
Beginning at a point in tlle Soutlleasterly line of said Lot 5 distant
tllereon Soutll 38 degrees 33' 00" West 1773-93 feet from tlle most
Easterly corner of said lot; tllence along tlle soutlleasterly line of said
lot, Soutll 38 degrees 33' 00. West 40.00 feet to tlle most Easterly
corner of tlle land conveyed to Los Angeles Turf Club by Parcel 2 of
tlle deed recorded in Book 12619, Page 275 of Official Records; tllence
along tlle boundary line of tlle land last described, tlle following
courses and distances, Nortll 51 degrees 27' 00. West 30 feet; Soutll
38 degrees 33' 00' West 150 feet and Nortll 51 degrees, 27' 00' West
481.12 feet to tlle Soutlleasterly line of Huntington Drive as described
in tlle deed to tlle City of Arcadia, recorded in Book 9396, Page 145 of

Official Records; thence North 38 degrees 33' 00" East along said
Southwesterly line of Huntington Drive, 190.00 feet; thence South 51
degrees 27' 00. East 511.12 feet to the true point of beginning
containing 2.126 acres more or less.
SECTION 2. The City Council finds and determines that the requested
zone change is consistent with the general plan designation of Public
Facilities and that the public health, safety, general welfare and good zoning
practice require the above amendment.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
ordinance and shall cause a copy of the same to be published in the official
newspaper of said City within fifteen (15) days after its adoption.
