ORDINANCE 1879
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA ADDING AN "H"
(HIGH RISE) OVERLAY TO THE EXISTING CPD-I ZONE FOR
THE PROPOSED HAMPTON INN HOTEL AT 311 EAST
HUNTINGTON DRIVE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the property located at 311 East Huntington Drive in
the City of Arcadia hereinafter described and presently zoned CPD-I,
Commercial Planned Development, is hereby reclassified into CPD-l & H
(high rise overlay), and from and after the effective date of this ordinance,
said real property shall be so zoned subject to the restrictions imposed by
the provisions of the zoning regulations of said City and the condition that if
the 132 room hotel is not completed within 30 months of the date of this
zone change approval, subject to possible extension of the time approved by
the City, the zoning shall revert to its original zoning status of CPD-l, The
Map contained in Section 9233.8 of the Arcadia Municipal Code is hereby
amended to reclassify and designate the described property as a district in
Zone CPD-l & H. Said property is described in attached Exhibit A.
SECTION 2, The City Council finds and determines that the requested
zone change is consistent with the general plan designation of Planned
Development and that the public health, safety, general welfare and good
zoning practice require the above amendment,
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
Ordinance and shall cause a copy of the same to be published in the official
newspaper of said City within fifteen (15) days after its adoption,

certify that the foregoing Ordinance No. 1879 was passed and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Arcadia, signed by the Mayor and attested to by
the City Clerk at a regular meeting of said Council on the 16th day of
February 1988, and that said Ordinance was adopted by the following
vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmember Chandler, Harbicht, Lojeski, Young and Gilb
