HomeMy WebLinkAbout1892 ORDINANCE NO. 1892 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA TO ZONE CHANGE FROM R-2 (MEDIUM DENSITY MULTIPLE-FAMILY) TO R-1 (SECOND ONE-FAMILY) THE PROPERTIES AT 1425, 1429, 1435 AND 1441 MELANIE LANE THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That the properties located at 1425, 1429, 1435 and 1441 Melanie Lane in the City of Arcadia hereinafter described and presently zoned R-2, Medium Density Multiple-Family, is hereby reclassified into R-l, Second One-Family, and from and after the effective date of this ordinance, said real property shall be so zoned subject to the restrictions imposed by the provisions of the zoning regulations of said City, and the map contained in Section 9233.12 of the Arcadia Municipal Code is hereby amended to reclassify and designate the described property as a district in Zone R-l Said property is described as follows: Lots 6, 7, 8 and 9 of Tract No. 32817, in the City of Arcadia, County of Los Angeles, State of California, as per map recorded in Book 873, Pages 3 and 4 of Maps in the office of the Los Angeles County Recorder. SECTION 2. The City Council finds and determines that the requested zone change is consistent with the general plan designation of Single-Family Residential and that the public health, safety, general welfare and good zoning practice require the above amendment. SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Ordinance and shall cause a copy of the same to be published in the official newspaper of said City within fifteen (15) days after its adoption.
