AN ORDIB.A1lCE OF THE CITY COUBCIL OF THE CITY
OF ARCADIA AMENDmG OBDINA1iCE NO. 1'70 OF SAID CITY
OF ARCADIA, APPROVED MARCH 3. 1926.. PURSUANT TO
THE PROVISIONS OF SECTION 4 IJIJfF.R"F.OF.
THE CITY COUNOIL OF m& CITY OF ABCADIA DO ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: An applioation,signed by Anita M. Baldwin
haVing heretofore bean filed in the offioe of the City Planning
Commission, pursuant to Section 4 of Ordinance No. 1'70 entitled
"AQ Ordinance of the City.of Arcadia California. Providing for
the Establishment or Erection in said City of Seven Zones Oon-
sisting of Various Districts and Presoribing the Class of
Buildings. Structures, Improvements and Occupanoy in said Seven
15 . Zones and the Use Thereof: the Peroentage of Area tha t may be
16 Covered br Improvements end the Height to whioh Buildings may be
17 Ereoted; Defining the Terms Used Therein and Presoribing the
18 Penalties for the Violation of the Provisions Thereof". asking
19 that axoeption be made affeoting the property in said applioation
20 and setting forth the specific reasons therefor and the oiroum-
21 stances in oonnection therewith. and recommendation having bean
22 made by the Planning Oommission to this Counoil. and a full in-
23 vestigation having bean made and oonsideration of the facts
24 having bean made by this Counoil, bearing upon such applioation;
25 this Oounoil determines that the granting of the request made
26 therein will not be materially detrimental to the publio welfare
27 or injurious to the property or improvements wi thin the zone and
28 district Within which said property is looated. and will not be
29 inconsistent with the general purpose of the said Ordinance No.
30 1'70~ and that unless such request is granted, substantial pro-
31 party rights of the applicant will be ourtailed.

the City of Arcadia are hereby amended in the following par-
tioulars:
The followmg desoribed property is hereby exoepted
from the provisions of Seotion 5 Zone A of Ordinance No. 170
and is hereby established in Zone D of Ordinance No. 170 of
the City of Arcadia;
The property affeoted by this Ordinance is desoribed
as follows, to-wit:
That portion of Lot 5 of Traot 949. in the City of
Arcadia. County of Los Angeles, State of California.
as per map reoorded in Book 17. Page 13 of Maps, in
the office of the County Reoorder of said County, de-
soribed as follows:
Beginning at a point in the southeasterly line of
said Lot 5 distant thereon S 38 deg. 33' W 63.93 feet
from the most easterly corner thereof. said point of
beginning also being the intersection of a line par-
allel with and distant southerly 50.00 fest from the
oenter line of Huntington Drive as now established
100.00 feet wide and said southeasterly line of said
Lot 5; thenoe along said southeasterly line S 38 deg.
33' W 100.00 feet; thence N 51 deg. 27' W 125.49 feet
to said line parallel with and distant southerly 60.00
feet from the center line of said Huntington Drive;
thence along said parallel line east 160.46 feet to the
point of beginning. Containing.O.l44 Acres more or less.
SECTION 3; . The rights or privileges granted by this
Ordinanae are granted and acoepted by the persona affeoted there-
by upon the express oondition that no building or buildings of
any kind or character shall be oonstructed or looated on the
southerly side of said Huntington Drive in said City of Aroadia.

SECTION 4:
The Oity Clerk shall ~ertify to the adop-
tion of this Ordinenoe and oause the seme to be published oncE!
in the Aroadia Tribune. .a .weekly newspaper published and oirou-
lated in said Oity of Aroadia, and thirty days from and there-
after ths same shall take effect and be in foroe.
