HomeMy WebLinkAbout0339 ORDINANCE NO. 339 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA MdENDING SECTION 7 OF ORDINANCE NO. 299 OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA ENTITLED, "AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA LICENSING AND REGULATING HORSE RACE 1ffiETINGS AND WAGERING ON THE RESULTS THEREOF, AND PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF", ADOPTED DECEMBER 10, 1934. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1: That Section 7 of Ordinance No. 299 of the City Council of the City of Arcadia entitled "An Ordinance of the City Council of the City of Arcadia licensing and regulating horse race meetings and wagering on the results thereof, and providing penalties for the violation thereof", adopted December 10, 1934, be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: SECTION 7: A License of One Hundred ($100.00) Dollars per day for each person, firm or corporation, holding, managing or con- ducting any meeting within the City of Arcadia, whereat horse rac- ing with wagering on the resu~ts thereof by the system known as the pari mutuel method is permitted by the laws of the State of California. The license mentioned in this Ordinance shall be in lieu of all and every license, as provided in Ordinance No. 232 of the City of Arcadia, for any and all business and concessions, conducted, operated or maintained in connection with the conduct of such race track within the boundaries of the property owned by the licensee and '-., used in connectlon with the operation or maintenance of said race track, where said business or concessions are owned and operated by the owner of said race track.
