THE CITY COUNOIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA DO ORDAIN AS FOL- LOWS: SECTION l: That it shall be unlawful for any person,firm or oorporation to erect, construct or locate any building or other structure upon any lot or land fronting on Holly Avenus,in said City of Arcadia, from ~e Southerly line of the right of way of the Southern Pacific Company to the Southerly line of Lot 1, Tract No. 951, in the City of Arcadia, County of Los Angeles, State of California, as per Map recorded in Book 17, Page 28 Qf Maps, Re- oords of said County, unless the same be set back to a line which is distant seventy (70) feet Easterly from and parallel to the Easterly line of said Holly Avenue. SECTION 2; That any person, firm or corporation violat- ing any of the provisions of this Ordinanoe shall be deemed guilty of a Misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof, shall be punishable by a fine not exceeding $300.00 or by imprisonment in the City I Jail of said Oity of Arcadia, or in the County Jail of said Oounty of L08 Angeles, State of California, at the discretion of the Com- mitting Magistrate, for a period not exceeding three months, or by both such fine and imprisonment. SEOTION 3: The Oity Clerk shall oertify to the adoption of this Ordinance and shall cause the same to be published once in The Arcadia News, a weekly newspaper published and circulated in said City of Arcadia and thirty days from and after the final passage thereof the same shall take effect and be in force. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted at a regular meeting of the Oity Counoil of the City of Arcadia, held on the 1st. day of May, 1934, by the affirmative vote of at least three Councilmen to-wi t: AYES: Oouncilmen, Daniels, Hoffman, Krebs, McLean and NOES: None, and signed and approved this 1st.
