Section 3214.15 of the Arcadia Municipal Code is hereby amended by adding Sections 13.15 and 13.16 to read in their entirety as follows: "Section 13 .15. Commercial Vehicle on Truck Route. No person shall park or leave standing any commercial vehicle exceeding a maximum gross weight limit of six thousand (6,000) pounds upon any street or portion thereof which is established as a "truck route" for a period of time exceeding one (I) hour except when necessary for the purpose of making pick-ups, or deliveries of goods, wares and merchandise from or to any building or structure upon such restricted streets for which a building permit has previously been obtained therefor and actual loading and unloading operations are in progress. Section 13.16. Commercial Vehicle Prohibited. When any such truck route or routes are established and designated by appropriate signs, the operator of any commercial vehicle exceeding a maximum gross weight limit of six thousand (6,000) pounds shall drive on such route or routes, and none other. Nothing in this section shall prohibit the operator of any commercial vehicle exceeding a maximum gross weight limit of six thousand (6,000) pounds from having ingress and egress by direct route to and from restricted streets when necessary for the purpose of making pick ups or deliveries of goods, wares and merchandise from or to any building or structure located on such restricted streets or for the purpose of delivering materials to b used in the actual and bona fide repair, alteration, 2 2219 . ~ . ... ...,-. . . V""~ - . ~ - . remodeling or construction of any building or structure upon such restricted streets for which a building permit has previously been obtained therefor. Provided that such commercial vehicle exceeding a maximum gross weight of six thousand (6,000) pounds shall not be parked or left standing on any such restricted street in excess of one (I) hour unless actual loading or unloading operations are in progress." SECTfON 4. The City Clerk shall certify the adoption of this Ordinance and shall cause a copy of the same to be published in the official newspaper of the City of Arcadia within fifteen (15) days after its adoption. This Ordinance shall take effect on the thirty-first (3151) following its adoption. Passed, approved and adopted this 3rd day of October ,2006.
