HomeMy WebLinkAbout0653 ORD INANCE NO. 6,3 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA AMEND- ING SECTIONS 2 AND 3 OF ORDINANCE NO. ,8 OF SAID CITY FIXING THE SALARIES TO BE PAID TO THE CITY CLERK AND THE CITY TREASURER. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That section 2 of Ordinance No. ,8 of said City of Arcadia entitled: "An Ordinance of the Board of Trustees of the City of Arcadia fixing the salaries to be paid to the City Clerk, City Treasurer, City Marshal, City Engineer, Street Super- intendent, City Attorney and City Recorder of said City of Arcadia," adopted March '7, 1928, be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: "SECTION :2. That the salary of the City Clerk of said City of Arcadia from and after the effective date of this Ordinance and until the expiration of the present term of office of said City Clerk shall be and the same is hereby fixed at the sum of $3,0.00 per month. Said salary shall be paid by warrant drawn upon the City Treasury of said City of Arcadia in the same manner as other salary warrants of the officers of said City are drawn and paid. Said salary shall be in full compensation for all duties by him required to be performed by law or by direction of said City Councilor any Ordinance of said City." SECTION 2., That section 3 of said Ordinance No. ,8 is hereby amended to read as follows: "SECTION 3. That the salary of the City Treasurer of said City of Arcadia from and after the effective date of this Ordinance and until the expiration of the present term of office of said City Treasurer, shall be and the same is hereby fixed at the sum of $2,0.00 per month. Said salary shall be paid by warrant drawn upon the City Treasury of said City of Arcadia in the same manner as other salary warrants of the officers of said City are drawn \"O~'" Chef 6'6.:5' and paid. Sa.id salary shall be in full compensation for all duties by him required to be performed by law or by direction II of said City Councilor by any Ordinance of said City." SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Ordinance and prior to the expiration of fifteen (15) days from the passage thereof, shall cause the same to be published onCe in the Arcadia Tribune and Arcadia News, a newspaper of general circulation, published and circulated in the City of Arcadia, and thirty (30) days from and after the final passage thereof said Ordinance shall take effect and be in force.
