AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA
AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 515 OF SAID CITY ADOPTED JUNE 6,
1944, Al'lD REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 685, ADOPTED DECEMBER
16, 1947.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA,
DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION ~. That Section 2 of Ordinance No. 515 of the City
of Arcadia entitled "An Ordinance of the City Council of the City
of Arcadia, declaring the keeping of horses, ponies mules, jacks
or jennies within said city under certain conditions to be a
nuisance and regulating the keeping, maintaining and riding of
said animals within said city," adopted June 6, 1944, be and the
same is hereby amended to read as follows:
"SECTION 2. It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or
corporation to lead, drive or ride any such animal or animals in
or upon any lawn, sward or garden or in and upon any parkway,
path or walk, within said City of Arcadia unless said parkway,
path or walk has theretofore by resolution of the City Council
of the City of A:~cadia been declared to be and designated as a
bridle path. II
SECTION 2. Ordinance No. 685, heretofore adopted on the
16th day of December, 1947, is hereby repealed.
SECTION 3. The city Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this Ordinance and prior to the expiration of fifteen (15) days
from the passage thereof, shall cause the same to be published
once in the Arcadia Tribune and News, a newspap er of general cir-
culation, published and circulated in the City of Arcadia, and
thirty (30) days from and after the final passage thereof said
Ordinance shaH, 1;ake effect and be in force.
I HEREBY CEHTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was adopted
at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Arcadia,

held on the 17th, day of February, 1948, by the affirmative vote
of at least three Councilmen, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Adcock, Leeper, Nugent, Ormsby and Russell
