AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA
AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 303 OF SAID CITY BY ADDING THREE
NEW SECTIONS TO BE KNO\VN AS AND NUMBERED SECTION 8E,
SECTION 8F AND SECTION 8G, PROHIBITING PARKING OF VEHICLES
ON CERTAIN STREETS OR IN FRONT OF A FIRE HYDRANT IN THE
CITY OF ARCADIA.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFVRNIA, DOES
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1. That Ordinance No. 303 of the City of Arcadia,
entitled, "An Ordinance of the City Council of the City of Arcadia,
prohibiting the parking of automobiles or other vehicles on a
portion of Huntington Drive South, Huntington Drive North, and
Colorado Place in said City of Arcadia and also establishing a
parking time limit on certain streets and repealing Ordinance No.
266 of the City of Arcadia," adopted December 10, 1934, be and the
same is hereby amended by addingthreenew sections to be known and

numbered Section 8E,QRQ Section 8F anEi/to read as follows::
"SECTION 8E. That it shall be unlawful for any person, firm
or corporation, operating a "vehicle" as defined by Ordinance No.

200 of the City of Arcadia, to park, stald or leave the same stand-
ing on Fairview Avenue, a public highway in said City of Ar~adia,
between ~aldwin Avenue and Holly Avenue in said City of Arcadia,
for a period longer than forty-five (45) minutes during the hours
between 10:00 o'clock A.M. and 4:00 O'clock, P.M. on any day

ing on Holly Avenue, a public highway in said City of Arcadia,

between 10:00 O'clock A.M. and 4:00 o'clock P.M. on any day except

That it shall be unlawful for any person, firm
or corporation operating a "vehicle" as defined by Ordinanc~ No.
200 of said City of Arcadia, to stop, park or leave standing any
such vehicle within fifteen feet of a fire hydrant except when
such vehicle is attended by a licensed operator or chauffeur who
is seated in the front seat and who can immediately move such
vehicle in case of necessity."

SECTION 2. That Ordinlll ce No. 452: of the City of Arcadia"
adopted Februar'y 4, 194~, and Ordin!rl ce No. 688 of said City
adopted January 6, 1948, be and the same are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3. The City &lerk shall certify to the adoption of
this Ordinance !rld shall cause the same to be published once in
the Arcadia Tribune and Arcadia News, a newspaper of general cir-
culation, published !rld circulated in the City of Arcadia, and
thereupon and thereafter the same shall take effect and be in
force.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was adopted at
a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Arcadia held
on the 20th day of February, 1948, by the affirmative vote of at
least three Councilmen, to-wit:
AYES: Councilmen, Adcock, Leeper, Nugent, Ormsby and Russell
