HomeMy WebLinkAbout0627 ORDINANCE NO. 627 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, k~~~ING ORDINANCE NO. 343 OF SAID CITY, ESTABLISHING MINI1K~1 SER~ICE CHARGES FOR AUTOI~TIC SPRINKLER FIRE PROTECTION SYSTEMS. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Ordinance No. 343, adopted and approved November 4, 1936, and entitled: "AN Ordinance of the City Council of the City of Arcadia fixing the rates and compensation to be charged and collected by said City of Arcadia for supplying water for domestic, irrigation and other purposes to the in- habitants of said city, prescribing rules and regulations for the government of the water service and providing a penalty for the violation thereof, and repealing Or- dinances Nos. 66, 67, 69, 88, 98, 113, l19, 120, l35, l64 and 165 of said City of Arcadia and all other Ordinances or parts of ordinances of said City of Arcadia in conflict therewith" is hereby amended by adding thereto a new section, designated as ilIA" to follow immediately after Section 1 of said Ordinance, which said Section "lA" shall read as follows: "SECTION lA. The following rates and compensation are hereby fixed and established as the monthly and bi-monthly minimum rates and compensation to be charged and collected by the Water Department of the City of Arcadia for the installation and maintenance of a detector check for use in conjunction with any automatic sprinkler fire-protection For 411 meter, each For 6" meter, each For 8" meter, each For 1011 meter, each system: Monthly $ 9.00 12.00 15.00 18.00 Bi-monthly $l8.00 24.00 30.00 36.00 in addition to the usual or regular charge for water used in, by, through or by means of such automatic sprinkler fire-protection system at the rate or rates specified in Section 1 of said Ordinance No. 343 of said City, as amended by Ordinance No. 52l of said City, adopted and approved August 1, 1944. The monthly and bi-monthly rates hereinabove enumerated shall be charged and collected as aforesaid during the time such automatic sprinkler fire-protection system is installed and maintained. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Ordinance, and prior to the expiration of fifteen (15) days from the passage thereof, shall cause the same to be published once in the Arcadia Tribune and Arcadia News, a newspaper of general circulatio~ published and circulated in the City of Arcadia, and thirty (30) days from and after the final passage thereof said Ordinance shall take effect and be in force.
