HomeMy WebLinkAbout0635 t.~~ Q~'V' \\01' 11 ~ ORDINANCE NO. 635 AN ORD INANCE OF THE CITY COUNC IL OF THE CITY OF ARCAD IA CLASSIFYING CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY FOR ZONING PURPOSES AND ESTABLISHING SAID PROPERTY IN ZONE R-3 AND ZO~~ C-l OF SAID CITY AS DEFINED IN ORDINANCE NO. 439 OF SAID CITY, ADOPTED JUNE 28, 1940. THE CITY COUNCIL OF 'I'HE CITY OF ARCADIA DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Bursuant to the ~ritten request of the owners of the hereinafter described real prop~rty, and upon the recom- mendation of the Planning Cornmission.of the City of Arcadia, said real property is hereby established as a district in Zone R-3 under the provisions of Ordinance No. 439 of the City of Arcadia, adopted June 28, 1940, and from and after the effective date of this Ordinance said real property shall become and be a portion of the district as herein indicated. Said real property is more particularly described as follows: A portion of Lot 68, Santa Anita Colony, in the City of Ercadia, County of Los Angeles , State of California, as shown, on Map recorded in Book 42, Page 87 of Miscellaneous records, in the office of the County Recorder of said County, described as follows:' Beginning at the intersection, of the east line of El Monte Avenue with the south line of Las Tunas Drive, thence east 85 feet, thence south l65 feet, thence east 40 feet, then south to a line lOO feet north at right angles from the north line of Live Oak Avenue, thence west parallel with Live Oak Avenue to the ease line of El Monte Avenue, thence north to beginning. I SECTION 2. Pursuant to the written request of the owners of the hereinafter described real property, and upon the recom- mendation of the Planning Commission of the City of Arcadia, said ~~~. real property is hereby established as a district in Zone C-l 1,1 under the provisions of Ordinance No. 439 of the City of Arcadia, adopted June 28, 1940, and from and after the effective date of this Ordinance said real property shall become and be a portion of the district as herein indicated. Said real property is more particularly described as follows: Beginning East 85 feet from the interDection of the East line of El Monte Avenue with the South line of LaD Tunas Drive; thence East 232 feet: thence South to a line 100 feet North at right angles from the: North line of . /J, 'A.d. /.. ,,,1l~ (/F '30 .... Live Oak Avenue: Thence West parallel with Live Oak Avenue to a line Ea~t l25 feet at right angles from the East line of El Monte Avenue: thence North to a point South 165 feet from the South line of Las Tunas Drive: thence West 40 feet; thence North 165 feet to beginning. SECTION 3. The City Clerk of said City shall certify to the adoption of this Ordinance and shall cause the same to be published once in the Arcadia Tribune and .Arcadia News, a Vleekly newspaper published and circulated in said City of Arcadia and hereby designated for that purpose, and thirty days from and after the passage thereof, the same shall be in full force and effect. I HEREBY CERTIFY THAT the foregoing Ordinance was adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Arcadia, held on the 18th day of March, 1947, by the affirmative vote of at least three Councilmen, to wit: AYES: Councilmen Adcock, Leeper, Ormsby and Russell NOES: None ABSENT: Councilman Nugent ~-- City Clerk of the SIGrffiD AND APPROVED this 18th day of March, 1947. /}yJ , -N.
