ORDINANCE NO. 557.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA
RECLASSIFYING CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY IN SAID CITY AND ESTABLISHING
THE SAME AS A PORTION OF ZONE R-3 OF SAID CITY OF ARCADIA AS DEFINED
IN ORDINANCE NO. 439 OF SAID CITY ADOPTED JUNE 28, 1940.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA DOES ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That pursuant to recommendation of the Planning
Commission of the City of Arcadia, made after public hearing as pro-
vided by Section 26 of Ordinance No. 439 of said City, adopted June
28. 1940, the zone classification of all that certain real property
situated in the City of Arcadia, County of Los Angeles, State of
California and described as:
Parcell. Part of Lots 6 and 9. Block 89, Santa Anita
Tract, as shown on map recorded in Book 34. Pages 41 and 42.
Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County, described as follows:
Beginning at a point in the North line of said Lot 6, distant 116
feet East from t~e East line of First Avenue (80 feet wide); thence
South 60 feet; thence East 160.67 feet; thence South 100 feet;
thence East to t::le Westerly line of that certain easement for flood
control of Santa Anita Wash; Recorded in Book 11,324. Page 4 of
Official Records; thence Northwesterly along the Westerly line of
said easement to the north line of said Lot 6; thence West thereon
to a point distant 276.67 feet East from the East line of First
Avenue; thence North 8 feet; thence West 160.67 feet; thence South
8 feet to the place of beginning,
Parcel 2. Part of lot 9,BLock 89, Santa Anita Tract, as
shown on map recorded in Book 34, Pages 41 and 42. Misoellaneous
Records of Los ~lgeles County, described as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the East line of First Avenue
(80 feet wide) with the South line of said Lot 9; thence East 116
feet; thence North 8 feet; thence West 116 feet; thence South 8
feet to the place of beginning,
be and the same is hereby reclassified as a part of Zone R-3 of
sall.d city as def:l.ned in said Ordinance No. 439, and from and after

the effective dlite of this Ordinance the real property described
in this Section shall be and become a district of said Zone R-3.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this Ordinance and prior to the expiration of fifteen (15) days
from the passag'3 thereof, shall cause the same to be published once
in the Arcadia Tribune and Arcadia News, a newspaper of ~eneral
circulation, pU31ished and circulated in the City of Arcadia, and
thirty (30) days from and after the final passage thereof said
Ordinance shall take effect and be in force.
I herl3by certify that the foregoing Ordinance was adopted
at a regular m613ting of the City Council of the City of Arcadia, held
on the 18th day of September, 1945, by the affirmative vote of at
least three Councilmen, to wit:
